💙 As we bring our Volunteers' Week celebrations to a close, we'd like to say a huge heartfelt thank you to every one of our volunteers.

Throughout the week, we've celebrated the incredible people who give their time, skills and experience to support our bureau and the local community. From advisers to administrators, reception volunteers and trustees, every volunteer plays an important role in helping us make a difference.

In this video, Josh, one of our fantastic volunteer trustees, shares a message of thanks and appreciation to all those who contribute so much to our organisation.

Together, our volunteers help thousands of people each year access the advice and support they need.

Yesterday, we enjoyed a lovely Volunteers' Week tea party to say a huge thank you to the fantastic team of volunteers who support our bureau throughout the year 🥳

It was a great opportunity to come together, share stories, enjoy some treats, and celebrate the incredible difference our volunteers make in our community every day.

As part of Volunteers' Week, we're celebrating the amazing people who give their time to support our community.

Helen, one of our Volunteer Generalist Advisers, describes volunteering as an incredibly rewarding experience. She loves knowing that even a small interaction can make a positive difference to someone's life.

Through volunteering, Helen has been able to support local people, develop her own skills, and work alongside a knowledgeable and dedicated team.

🚨 We still need to hear from more people in our community 🚨

Only a small number of people have shared their experiences with us, and we know there are many more voices in our community that deserve to be heard.

We’re using this feedback to help:

✔ Improve access to advice services
✔ Reduce waiting times
✔ Identify gaps in support
✔ Apply for funding to better support local people

We're raising awareness about Funeral Support Payment. We’re seeing people miss out because they didn’t know about it until it was too late.

If someone close to you has died, you’re worried about funeral costs, and you are on certain benefits, you may be able to apply.
This payment helps towards some of the funeral costs and can be paid either to you or the funeral director who's helping you plan the funeral.

Please don't miss the deadline.
