Thank you so much to our volunteer quilters for this wonderful array of quilts received at the end of May. A grand total of 77 quilts were brought by you all. We can't thank you enoUgh.

Quilts have already gone to Wishaw general neo and children's wards. Princess Royal neo, Calum's cabin and we are about to deliver to Foster Care, and a first delivery from our group to QEUH children's ward.

Our stock of large younger quilts are pretty low, so if making any quilts, please think about making some for 3-8/10 year olds.

With cot quilts, we try to give knitted toys, as you see below. If you have friends who like knitting toys, please encourage them to consider giving to us, as we are out of soft toys, and we have been told repeatedly how much the children love their toys and quilts. We welcome knitted blankets too.

New members are always welcome. Please get in touch with us if you are interested in sewing quilts for Project Linus. Thanks to all.

What a lovely afternoon we had last week, as we had an afternoon tea to celebrate Elspeth being PLUK Lanarkshire and Glasgow East coordinator, for 21 years.

A beautiful cushion was created by Linda, and a lovely orchid were our gifts to Elspeth.

Thanks to everyone who came along, and/ or sent good wishes. In particular, grateful thanks to Linda for her wonderful idea. Elspeth loved it.

If Knitting or crocheting is your thing, like the items below., we are happy to pass them on to two local recipients. Although our local hospitals won't accept knitted blankets, they will accept knitted toys, as long as they are brand new.
Calum's cabin and LRCC are happy to take knitted blankets, so we will pass them on for you. LRCC also would like hearts, as shown, in these three colours only, green, purple and yellow. They can be knitted. Crocheted or sewn. Thanks to all who have already contributed.

Slightly later than promised, because of amdram commitments, are pictures of the wonderful quilts donated by our ladies, in April.
84 quilts donated, some of which have already gone to their new homes. Thank you so much for all your efforts.

It is always amazing what wonderful ideas people have, when making quilts.

And, a reminder that next Tuesday's meeting is an afternoon tea for Elspeth, to celebrate her 21 years as coordinator. We hope members past and present will come along and join us to celebrate. Our meeting will be two hours, instead of 1, to give us time.

See you then. Thanks.

Some of Tuesday's donations of quilts, with some of our volunteers. We had a talk by Janice from Callum's cabin, where we have started donating quilts for the children getting a respite holiday from cancer treatment.

Thanks to all the lovely quilts. More pictures to follow.

If anyone would like to join us, please get in touch. We always welcome additional sewers, as, sadly, demand almost always is greater than supply, even with the terrific numbers our ladies give us.

As Janice, from Calum's cabin said,,these quilts are so appreciated by the children and teenagers. Thanks to all.

Thank you so much to our quilters and sewers, who brought along nearly 120 quilts, last Tuesday. What a wonderful selection of quilts, not all of which have been photographed yet, so more will be added.
In particular, an extra big thank you to those who managed to answer the urgent shout out for the teenagers 'quilts, needed for later this month.
Please remember, you can find out where your quilts go, by contacting Linda.

Last month, quilts went to Wishaw General and Princess Royal, Callum's cabin, health visitors, social workers and family unit.

Anyone interested in joining us, please get in touch. Next meeting last Tuesday of April.
