page for Halifax and District YMCA. Come join us for great activities for young and old! The YMCA is the largest and oldest youth charity in the world.

We believe that all young people deserve to have a safe place to live and the opportunity to reach their full potential. The YMCA's vision is of an inclusive Christian Movement, transforming communities so that all young people truly belong, contribute and thrive. Yes, we’re faith-based, but everyone is welcome at the YMCA. From its humble beginnings in the City of London in 1844, the YMCA has grown to become a worldwide organisation reaching around 58 million people in 119 different countries. We work with young men and women regardless of race, religion or culture and are transforming their lives in every corner of the world. Halifax YMCA hosts a wide range of activities and programmes suitable for young and old. Keep an eye on our page or website to see what's on at the moment or coming up soon!

Today we said our goodbyes to Karen Rice, taken far too young. The person in the pantomime who made costumes, looked after everyone and played a leading role. Karen was a person who lit up every room she went in to, a friend to everyone, a go too person and definately the person who made you laugh.
RIP Karen, Halifax YMCA will miss you.

Blown away by the generosity of Mike and his team at Rollo Lounge. You are helping us to keep a much needed service running in Calderdale. The cash donation of £1170 will help sustain and run the service. The purchase of uniform totalling £400 has already started to be handed out to families. Since opening 9 yrs ago this is by far the biggest donation we have had.
Children can now have new items which helps them feel happy and included during their school day.
Thank you to Mike and his team from Debbie and everyone at the Halifax YMCA👏👏👏
