As part of our commitment to transparency, we set out to have our first set of annual accounts audited and published as early as possible.

We’ve now completed this for our initial period of operation, covering up to 31 December 2025. This includes our first two years of donations from Sizewell C, alongside our initial spending to establish the charity.

East Suffolk Trust is proud to be accredited as an evidence champion with Conservation Evidence. We're committed to using conservation evidence in our application and decision making approaches, and look forward to adding to the evidence base where we can.

Today we launched our first funding scheme and opened it for applications.

Our core grant programme supports projects that restore nature and empower communities across Suffolk, with a particular focus on East Suffolk.

Grants start at £10,000 and can support projects lasting up to five years. We fund a wide range of costs, provided applicants can demonstrate clear value for money.

All applicants must first submit an Expression of Interest (EOI), which we accept on a rolling basis. If your EOI is successful, you’ll be invited to submit a full application.

On our website you’ll find:
💡 Our draft strategy, including our purpose, mission, values, funding outcomes and funding approach
📖 Application guidelines, including eligibility criteria, what we fund, the application process and FAQs
✅ Our application portal, where you can submit an Expression of Interest

We’re happy to have informal conversations about potential ideas. If you’d like to arrange a meeting, please get in touch at [email protected].
