Moving On Inverclyde is a support service for people affected by their own or anotherโ€™s problematic use of alcohol or drugs. We have been providing services in Inverclyde since 2002. We believe everyone has the potential to rebuild their lives and reshape their futures. We also understand those using our service may have other difficulties or situations requiring support besides their recovery. Th

is is why we have a full and robust package of support available through our partnerships and collaborations with local services to empower and enable a successful recovery.

Last week, Kirsty and Chelsea attended the Youth Connections Next Step Project End of Project Celebration at Aileymill Primary School ๐Ÿ’š

The event brought together local families for an afternoon packed with activities, fun, and opportunities to connect with services from across the community. It was fantastic to see so many people getting involved and enjoying everything on offer.

Alongside the celebrations, Kirsty and Chelsea were on hand to provide information about the support available through Moving On Inverclyde, answer questions, and connect with families and community members.

A huge well done to Youth Connections on the successful completion of the Next Step Project and thank you for inviting us to be part of such a positive community event ๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿ’š

The Tartan Army are back at the World Cup and the whole country has caught the football bug! โšฝ

We absolutely love seeing Scotland on the big stage, but we know big football moments can bring extra pressure if youโ€™re in recovery from drugs or alcohol. More pubs open, more celebrations, more โ€œgo on, just one for the gameโ€.

So hereโ€™s a wee carousel with some gentle recovery tips for getting through the football season. Plan your watch party, bring people who get it, have an exit plan if you need one, and check in with how youโ€™re feeling!

If this brings up anything for you or someone you love, weโ€™re here. Send this to someone who might need a wee reminder this week ๐Ÿ’š

Another great session with our Functional Fitness Fanatics this afternoon ๐Ÿ’š๐Ÿ’ช

Hereโ€™s the group after todayโ€™s circuit training session led by our Recovery Worker Joseph. Every week, the group comes together to improve fitness, build confidence, support wellbeing, and have a laugh along the way.

Itโ€™s always brilliant to see so many people showing up, encouraging one another, and challenging themselves week after week ๐Ÿ‘

Functional Fitness Fanatics takes place every Wednesday and is open to all Moving On Inverclyde service users. If you'd like to get involved, speak to Joseph for more information!

Recovery isn't a straight line, and that's okay!๐Ÿ’š

Every single step forward counts, no matter how small it feels. If you're at the start of your journey or somewhere in the middle, you don't have to walk it alone๐Ÿ’š

At our Preparing to Change group, Alice Lewis shared one of her passions with the group by making healthy wellness shots packed with nutrients and health benefits ๐Ÿ’š

Alice prepared the drinks herself and brought them along for everyone to try, sparking plenty of conversation about health, wellbeing, and positive lifestyle changes.

Recovery is about so much more than stopping harmful habits. It's about discovering new interests, building healthy routines, and sharing those positive experiences with others.

A big thank you to Alice for bringing something different to the group and helping everyone start the day with a healthy boost ๐ŸŠ๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿ’š
