Moving On Inverclyde

Moving On Inverclyde A Centre of Excellence facilitating long-term recovery pathways. Supporting People In Inverclyde Since 2002. https://linktr.ee/moinverclyde

Moving On Inverclyde is a support service for people affected by their own or another’s problematic use of alcohol or drugs. We have been providing services in Inverclyde since 2002. We believe everyone has the potential to rebuild their lives and reshape their futures. We also understand those using our service may have other difficulties or situations requiring support besides their recovery. Th

is is why we have a full and robust package of support available through our partnerships and collaborations with local services to empower and enable a successful recovery.

This month marked a really special first for us, our new Newcomers SMART Recovery Meeting πŸ’š

This group is just for 18 to 25 year olds who are in the early stages of their recovery journey, and it exists because we know starting out can feel like the hardest part. Finding people your own age who get it, without any judgement, makes such a difference.

Huge thanks to John, a Trained SMART Facilitator, and Sam, who is currently working through facilitator training, for leading the very first session.

The feedback from the group said it all πŸ’š

Moments like this are exactly why we do what we do. Nobody has to walk this road alone, and it doesn't matter how old you are or where you're starting from, there's a space here for you.

If you know someone between 18 and 25 who could benefit from a group like this, our doors are open πŸ’š

Our relay will see 13 pairs walk a marathon route across Inverclyde, passing the baton from one to the next. That baton represents something we know to be true... nobody walks alone.

Every donation goes directly towards recovery programmes, peer support, and opportunities for people to rebuild their lives.

In less than a month, members of our Functional Fitness Fanatics group will walk a full marathon relay across Inverclyde in aid of Moving On Inverclyde πŸ’š

The Moving On Marathon: 26 Miles of Hope is more than a fundraiser. It's a public demonstration of what recovery looks like, active, determined, and community-driven.

We're looking for local businesses to get behind the team:

πŸƒ Sponsor a Walker for Β£50 and your name or business will be displayed on a participant's event bib, with social media recognition and a public thank you on the day.

🌟 Become an Event Sponsor for £100 and your logo will feature on event promotional materials, across our social media, and you'll receive a public thank you on the day.

Every pound raised goes directly towards our recovery programmes, peer support, and wellbeing activities here in Inverclyde.

If your business would like to get involved, please get in touch. We'd love to have you with us.

Every donation makes a real difference πŸ’š

Whether you can give a little or a lot, here's what your support could mean for someone in Inverclyde right now...

πŸ’š Β£5 could cover someone's travel to a support session, removing a very real barrier to getting help.

πŸ’š Β£10 could provide refreshments and materials for a group session, so people feel welcomed and able to stay.

πŸ’š Β£25 could help someone stay connected during a difficult time, covering travel, phone credit or essential items.

πŸ’š Β£50 could help someone complete our STEPS to Excellence programme, building confidence and a sense of direction in their recovery.

πŸ’š Β£55 could fund a counselling session, giving someone space to talk, process and stabilise their mental health.

πŸ’š Β£75 could help fund a group activity that builds routine, connection and wellbeing, and reduces isolation.

πŸ’š Β£150 could pay for three emotional stability sessions following a non-fatal overdose, providing timely support at a critical point.

πŸ’š Β£250 could resource a full programme of recovery support, benefiting several people through group work, training or peer-led activity.

πŸ’š Β£500 could strengthen recovery, connection and hope across the whole community through a series of sessions and activities.

No amount is too small. Every single pound goes directly towards supporting people in our community to rebuild their lives πŸ’š
