We are very proud to be nominated as a finalist for the "Journey to Net Zero" category in this years ICON Awards🙏🏆
This year has been difficult for a number of reasons, losing group members and challenging circumstances🙏 But resilience is key and we are very proud of our team and their 2026 achievements❤️🍓🫑🍊🥒🥕🫛
We are honoured to be nominated with Inverclyde Community Food Network and Inverclyde Climate Action Network both doing wonderful jobs highlighting aspects of food poverty and awareness of the dangers to our climate.🙏❤️

It was a pleasure to welcome Wendy once again in her role as Keep Scotland Beautiful assesor to Inverkip👍🌺🌸🌷🍓🍒🍊🍈🥒🥬
We stopped off at Inverkip Primary School to show our ongoing engagement with the school and the Wellbeing garden planted up in flower with 60 different species of plant in celebration of KSB Beautiful Scotlands 60 years and championing "Little People Power"😉👍💪
We stopped to look at some work at Inverkip Hotel and then went to Inverkip Hub.
Our amazing team were hard at work harvesting but also having fun, especially with our carrot experiment🥕🥕🥕
A visit to our new polytunnel 🌶🫑🥒🌶🥒🫑
and a couple of pictures beside our 12ft sunflowers🌻🌻🌻🌻🌻🌻🌻🌻
Well done to our team and our community partners for doing their bit to Keep Scotland Beautiful.🙏❤️❤️

Hi folks ,
We are preparing for our Keep Scotland Beautiful visit next week.🙏😃🌸🌻🌷🌺
Assessment is on 40% community participation, 30% environmental respsonsibility , 30 % gardening achievement.
Our amazing volunteers have been working hard to keep your community garden looking good.🙏
We are also at the start of our wellbeing rose garden build, and despite the mess of the ground next door the community garden is a place to be proud of and evidence of what volunteers can achieve in our community.❤️
Was great to plant up a couple of planters for our community partners Inverkip Hotel .
Check out the pollinators and flowers with your amazing meals🥗 and refreshments🍺

SATURDAYS from 10am if you are about......We run a safe community space , friends, banter, coffee /cake and a bit of gardening are on the agenda.
Qualifications required are a heartbeat❤️👇 and enthusiasm🤷‍♂️😉🙈❤️

Community gardens are safe spaces and often a haven for volunteers and for members of the public who enjoy them.
We are honoured to support The Anchor for their trailblazing work in Inverclyde.
Our wellbeing rose garden "when it is built" will have the Anchor's information attatched to it😃👍🌷🥀🌺🌸🌻

Our community spaces, gardens, and local groups are the heart and soul of Inverclyde, and having Blooming Inverkip display our yellow anchor means there's now another visible beacon of support in the village.

Wonderful day today representing Blooming Inverkip at Keep Scotland Beautiful's Networking Event hosted by Organic Growers of Fairlie and by The Douglas Park Project in Largs.😎🙏🌸🌻🌺🌷🥀
It was great to meet such like minded people passionate about all aspects of community gardening.😃👍
Lots of inspiration and information on hand . Well worth a visit to anyone whilst in Fairlie or Largs👍🌸🌻🌷🥀🙏

Got to hand it to our volunteers Jean and Jill and the staff and kids for creating and maintaining a wonderful summer display at Inverkip Primary School🥀🌷🌸🪻🌻🌺
The good weather is helping but regular watering and feeding from our two volunteers has things looking really great🙏👏👏👏

Many thanks to David Maugere for his kind donation to Blooming Inverkip from the Apiary at Inverclyde Shed The Bee Man's honey certainly hit its mark. 🐝🐝🐝 Sticky fingers all round😂
Our reputation for being a cake eating, coffee drinking, gossiping gardening group is intact😂🐝👍 The garden is coming into its own now and our Polytunnel is filling up with foliage.
Our Wellbeing Rose garden build will be starting soon🌷🌸🌷🌸🌷🌸

Something a wee bit different!🌷🌷🌷
Blooming Inverkip have successfully received funding to build a Wellbeing Rose garden at the front of Inverkip Hub🙏🌸
This will replace the Star Garden and we aim to plant it up in a cottage garden style hopefully creating a welcoming space at the front of the Hub😎🌷🌸🥀🌺🪻🌷🥀
Blooming Bob and Fi were recently doing some research at David Austin Roses to see what this may look like.

The Blooming Inverkip team are honoured to be invited to the Greenock Telegraph Community Champion Awards 2026. Some of the team have donned their gladrags and are currently at the Greenock town Hall.
We've been nominated as Environmental Champions alongside Inverclyde Shed / Creative Regeneration and Inverclyde Climate Action Network.
