The Blooming Inverkip team are honoured to be invited to the Greenock Telegraph Community Champion Awards 2026. Some of the team have donned their gladrags and are currently at the Greenock town Hall.
We've been nominated as Environmental Champions alongside Inverclyde Shed / Creative Regeneration and Inverclyde Climate Action Network.

We'll let you know later, how we get on!

Well done to all our volunteers! Their hard work at Inverkip Hub and working with schools and community has led to this nomination and recognition🙏👏🌷🥀
A lot of them will be on site at KipFest tomorrow , please come and say a wee hello and have a natter.
We have lots of plants available🌿☘️🌷🥀 We will be holding the annual KipFest planter raffle , this year planted up by Inverkip Primary and the opening of our new Polytunnel at 130pm😀

Inverkip Community Hub is looking for volunteers and we have roles to suit everyone, no matter how much or how little time you have to give.

Whether you want to join the board, share you skill or trade with one off tasks or just help out at the odd event, we would love to hear from you.

Come and have a chat with us at our volunteer stall at Kip Fest this Saturday 13th June, or join us at our Volunteer Drop-In Evening on Thursday 18th June, 6pm to 8pm.

No pressure, no commitment.

Hi folks,

We are back 🌸gardening🌸 at the Hub after a busy few months on our not so secret project💪🤫😉🥀☘️🌿🌷
On Saturday at KIPFEST 2026 we will be opening our new "Polytunnel" which will be our 1st indoor growing space on 8 years of existence!🤷‍♂️
Its crazy to think we have never grown a tomato at Inverkip Hub 🍊🍊🍊🍊
Many thanks to our team , especially to Handy Andy and Euan for their hard work.🙏❤️
We hope you all approve and get to enjoy at somepoint👍🌶🥕🍓🫑🥀
A big hello to the children at Inverkip Primary who took part in our Healthy Huddle and planting session this week😀

🌷KIPFEST PLANTER 🌷 which will be the 1st prize in our raffle. Thanks to Robert at Ardgowan Fishery for a generous donation of trees and shrubs which will also raffled off🙏
Our great friend and mentor Angela Smith will hopefully be joining us to cut the ribbon and declare our Polytunnel upen💪🙏😀😀💪🍊

🌿 Volunteers’ Week 🌿

During Volunteers' Week we want to say a huge thank you to all of the amazing volunteers at Blooming Inverkip 💚
Whether it’s weeding 🌱, planting 🌸, watering 💧, pruning ✂️, deadheading 🌼, composting 🍂, sowing seeds 🪴 or potting on 🌿 — every single job helps keep Inverkip blooming.

From maintaining the gardens at Inverkip Hub , supporting community events, working with pupils from Inverkip Primary School 👩‍🌾🌻, helping grow food , and now the creation of our new polytunnel 🌱, every contribution makes a real difference.🙏

We’re also excited about the future, with the upcoming opening of our new polytunnel at KipFest 2026 🎉🌿 and some exciting plans developing for a new wellbeing garden at the front of Inverkip Hub 🌸🪑🌼

Blooming Inverkip keeps on Blooming❤️🌻🌷
Everyone has a part to play, and new volunteers are always welcome 🤝💚

As yesterday was World Horticultural Therapy day😀 we took some time off the weeding and watering👍
With Kipfest on the horizon it was time for some good old fashioned last minute gardening😀🌷🌸🥀
If your ever in doubt and life throws a curve ball or you dont like something you see then duck , start again and plant a plant🌷🌸🥀💪❤️❤️
