Gobowen Community Group recently held our annual AGM in which we unveiled donations totalling £6,000 to local groups, clubs and nursing homes.

Gobowen Community Group started with a grant of £800 and we’ve been lucky to generate surplus money at our events so just before Christmas we wanted to share our success and donated £6,000 across 12 recipients to support the great work others do within the village.

Our success in 2025 also allowed us to fund the purchase of a defibrillator which has been recently installed at All Saints Church and also supported by Selattyn & Gobowen Parish Council.

We hope the defib will never be needed however it increases the cover across the village. Our thanks go to All Saints Church for allowing us to install it on their building and to Selattyn and Gobowen Parish Council who have agreed to insure and maintain the defib going forward.

Can anyone help at the Gobowen Family Fun Day on Saturday 27th June 2026? We need people in the mroning for setting up and throughout the day to help run the stalls etc. Please get in touch if you can help, even if it's just an hour. Thanks

We are looking for items for our tombola stalls for the Gobowen Family Fun Day. Bottles, chocolates, toiletries, gift sets, toys, games, etc and of course soft toys for the teddy tombola. Please get in touch and one of us can collect. Thanks
