For the Dive and Decide Skills Builder activity, we asked the girls to think of the things they have enjoyed doing at Rainbows this year and their answers were:
❀️ fruit experiments
🧑 flower arrangements
πŸ’› lying down outside and hearing things
πŸ’š going to the park
πŸ’™ our parents coming to do activities with usπŸ’œ decorating biscuits
🩷 playing football

We asked if there was anything we had done that they didn't enjoy and none of the girls could think of anything ❀️

We then asked if there was anything we haven't done but they would like to do. Their answers were:

Have a sleepover (they had discovered the previous that Chirk Bunkhouse- Scout & Guide Hq has bunkbeds that people can sleep in!)

Go to the park (the Rainbow who had previously enjoyed going to the park and playing football was our oldest girl who was the only one who was in Rainbows the last time we did it!)

For our Rainbows Survey UMA, we gave the girls a list each with space for them to add anything else they found, whether it was something they liked or didn't like, so we could discuss it when we finished our walk.

They followed the safety rules for walking around Chirk and listened to instructions we gave them while walking. They also enjoyed sitting on the bench outside the church for a little rest!

We spotted a 'very lovely' cat lying down by Gerrards bakery which sparked a discussion about cats and then animals in general, which became a game of 'Beth ydy... in Gymraeg?' firstly with animals and then with colours which they all enjoyed joining in with as we walked back to Chirk Bunkhouse- Scout & Guide Hq 🏴󠁧󠁒󠁷󠁬󠁳󠁿

The girls all agreed that they didn't like the dog poo that had been left on the pavement and we had to be careful not to walk in 😒

Our Rainbows listened carefully to the safety instructions and had good ideas about what might happen during our Exciting Experiments activities.

They all took turns and had a go at each of the challenges - even lighting the candles with a little adult support πŸ•―

During the Summer term our Rainbows have enjoyed taking part in lots of different activities, many of which have counted towards badges and some were just for fun!

The girls thoroughly enjoyed learning how to safely handle kitchen equipment while preparing fruit for their fruit salads πŸŒπŸŽπŸπŸŠπŸ“πŸ
