Look at that consideration.

Tonight at cubs we were working on our skills badge,

All the cubs can now
đź’ˇchange a light bulb
⚪iron there scarf and jumper, and know what button to press to sq**rt water
🥕 Can (kinda) peel a potato and the carrot.

Our cub pack is currently full, but with more adults we could get bigger. Being a cub volunteer is amazing rewarding watching these children grow and learn is a bit special, plus they never fail to make me laugh.

Scouts where pirornering tonight.

Great way to spend a Monday evening teaching traditional skills, and firing things across the garden.

Is this something your youngster would enjoy why not join us on either a Monday or Thursday night. Scouting teaches skills for life, is a great way to make life long friends, whilst being away from the classroom and the screen.

Our cublets where outout yesterday hiking back from Broadstone Warren Scout Site .

Even Fred the dog came and joined us, and only one of them ended up in the water.

Our blue ninjas where out earning there gardening badge. Well done beavers and volunteers.

"Friends of the Compass Garden - we welcomed the Forest Row Beavers yesterday evening and showed them our Compass Garden. They were divided into 4 groups, each group either planting seeds to be taken home and grown, a plant identification group, a group learning about compost and finally, a group digging up the acorns which had rooted. They were delightful and we were answering questions like, how long does a worm grow (thank you Harrison). We were also presented with and the Beavers planted 4 plants from the residents of St. John's Road and Close in the memory of loved ones. It stayed dry and we all loved the session. The children were a joy. Thank you to volunteers Jackie, Andy, Mary, Gordon and Jenny and to Cheryl and her helpers for organising. And to Orchard Nursery for plant advice. I think we all slept well last night"

Nothing beats a Monday night fire—it definitely sets the right tone for the week! Smoked cheese over the flames sounds like a total game-changer; there’s something about that melty, smoky combo that hits differently outdoors.

Swap screen time for adventure! 🌲 We currently have a few rare openings in our local Cub Pack and Scout Troop right here in Forest Row.
If you want your child to build real-world skills, gain confidence, and make friends for life, this is the best decision you’ll make for them this week.
Cubs (Ages 8–10½): Join the pack for games, badges, and outdoor fun.
Scouts (Ages 10½–14): Master everything from fire lighting and navigation to legendary summer camps.
The Perks: Fresh air, new skills, and yes—the occasional fireside smoked cheese snack! 🧀🔥
📍 Where: The Scout Hut, Station Road, Forest Row, RH18 5DW
🗓️ When:
Cubs: Typically Tuesday nights
Scouts: Typically Monday or Thursday evenings
