🎉 Amazing News! 🎉

Out of the blue, we received a wonderful phone call from Carlo Lounge letting us know that Special Families has been chosen as their Charity of the Year! We are absolutely thrilled and so grateful for their support.

As a little celebration, they have gifted us 20 Dairy Milk Advent Calendars to share with some of our families. 🍫✨

We’re really looking forward to an exciting year ahead filled with fantastic events and opportunities. Thank you so much to Carlos Lounge for choosing to support our community! 💙

✨ What an incredible two weeks it’s been at trial sessions! ✨

We’ve had so much fun exploring a variety of activities designed to engage, excite and support the children’s development. Over the past two weeks we’ve enjoyed:

🎶 Action songs that get everyone moving, smiling, and following instructions
🎈 Balloons and bubbles that spark joy, laughter, and help build coordination
🪣 Attention Autism bucket time to encourage focus and anticipation
…and so much more!

It’s been wonderful to see the little ones grow in confidence and join in with new activities week by week. It has also been really special watching our supportive community blossom 💜

And the fun doesn’t stop there - next week we’re kicking off with a Farm Theme! 🐑🐓🚜

A free event not to be missed

Really pleased to be hosting this free community event at the Dorset Arms (upstairs room) on Thursday 10th July, 7.30pm.

I will be sharing my story and the journey from years of overwhelm to finding tools, insight and self-acceptance. This relaxed evening will give space for people to connect, ask questions, and share their experiences.

Whether you live with ADHD yourself, support someone else who has it, or if you simply want to find out more, this informal evening, offers an opportunity to enjoy feeling part of a community that shares your experiences - you are not alone!
