Special guests at the meal will be the guys from Cut Out Cancer who will be telling us about the exciting developments with the fundraising by this charity and what they have been buying for the Royal Surrey Hospital, Guildford.

We are so nearly at our £25,000 target for Cut out Cancer - purchasing Hi Tech Surgical equipment for the new Cancer and innovation wing being built at the Royal Surrey Hospital, Guildford. Gurkha at Woodcock Inn Felbridge are hosting a fundraising meal for Cut out Cancer on June 8th and are generously donating £10/meal to the charity. Just a reminder - 3 weeks to go until our annual Golf Day and we are not full!!. Sweetwoods Golf Club is a beautiful course and they are doing a BBQ afterwards. This year half of the proceeds are going to Cut Out Cancer and half to get a defibrillator for St Piers School and College. If we can get 18 teams of 4 and 18 holes sponsored then we should be able to raise enough with the raffle and auction of "4-balls" to buy the defibrillator straightaway - wouldn't that be great!!
We have a few team spaces left and any businesses who would like to sponsor a hole would be most welcome - you can display your company details at the hole and in the club house. Please reply here or email :[email protected].

We still have spaces for 7 teams at our Charity Golf Day. We are raising funds for a defibrillator for St Piers School and College and for Hi Tech surgical equipment for cancer treatment. Monday 22nd June at Sweetwoods Golf Club. £300 for a team of four - bacon rolls to start and barbeques afterwards plus raffle and auction. Message here or email meridiangolf .co.uk

Meridian Rotary Club were delighted to be back in their "home" tonight - the newly refurbished Dorset Arms,( Guinea Pig East Grinstead ). We were able to welcome our District Governor T. J. to a smart room with excellent food and a lovely welcome from the new landlords Jasmine and Gareth who couldn't have been more helpful. We look forward to holding our meetings and welcoming guests to the Guinea Pig Room. We wish Jasmine and Gareth every success!!

East Grinstead Meridian Rotary would love people to join us at The Gurkha at Woodcock Inn Felbridge where they are hosting a fundraising meal for the Cut Out Cancer charity. This charity is raising money to buy Hi Tech surgical equipment for the new Cancer and Innovations Centre at The Royal Surrey Hospital, Guildford. The operations performed using the surgical robots are much quicker and less invasive allowing faster recovery and return home. 7000 more patients per year can be seen!!
If we get 100 diners then that's £1000 for the charity plus the raffle

East Grinstead Meridian Rotary Club has a new project: We are going to raise money to buy a new defibrillator for St Piers School and College. This is such a necessary item we just had to make it a project. Please help us to get this defibrillator which may save lives. Our first event is the Charity Golf Day on 22nd June. We still have spaces for golf teams and golf hole sponsors; half of the proceeds will go to the defibrillator fund. More events planned and fingers crossed we get donations as well !!
