One week to go to get your entries in for this year's Fishguard & Goodwick in Bloom competition. In particular, we are looking for more entries into the 'non-business container' category. Are you a community group or resident without a traditional garden? If you have planters, window boxes or hanging baskets then get your entry in.

DID YOU KNOW?
In addition to our own In Bloom competition, the Town Council are leading this year on an entry into WALES IN BLOOM 2026:

The judge will visit our towns for this national competition on 9th July. We have been working with our wonderful community groups to prepare for the day but we hope that you can help too. How?

Pick up or report any litter

Quick tidy of shop and house frontages

A little weeding where necessary

Put out those hanging baskets you've been thinking of doing

Tell us about any areas in town that need extra attention

Let's get Fishguard and Goodwick looking BLOOMING marvellous!

Taking time out of their private holiday to France, our Mayor and Mayoress visited our twinned town of Loctudy and presented them with a bespoke commemorative plate in recognition of 30 years of our towns being twinned. Thank you to Kilner Kreations for a beautiful piece produced from local oak. Cllr Steven Hughes also joined the Mayor of Loctudy, Sylvain Cosnard at a memorial laying a wreath for those killed in the Indo-China war of 1945-54. They had a lovely visit and thank the residents of Loctudy for the warm welcome.
