What a summer of festivals and cultural events there have been in Fishguard and Goodwick, well done to all involved in making these events happen. The weather was mostly kind and the towns were buzzing. The Town Council welcomed the opportunity to financially support some of the events with grant funding. This was aided in part by a contribution from UKSPF funding via PCC. Here is our Mayor in attendance for the parade at this years carnival, one of many events organised by the amazing Round Table Fishguard & District.

At last night's Full Town Council meeting, Neil Warburton was elected as Town Councillor for Fishguard North-West Ward. We are delighted to have Neil Warburton join the Town Council and look forward to working with him. Welcome Cllr Warburton.

The Town Council are working again this year with Pembrokeshire County Council and the NHS to test the quality of the bathing water in Goodwick and Lower Town Fishguard.
Here are the latest test results, from 19th August 2026:
Goodwick:

19.08.26 - E.coli – 5 cfu/100ml
Enterococci – 2 cfu/100ml

Lower Town Fishguard:

19.08.26 - E.coli – 17 cfu/100ml
Enterococci – 4 cfu/100ml

These results would be classed as Excellent.

It's the first Tuesday of the month so that means a Full Council meeting for Fishguard & Goodwick Town Council. Members of the public are welcome to attend. The meeting will be in the Town Council meeting room at Fishguard Town Hall, at 7pm For the agenda, click below:

The Full Town Council meeting is held on the first Tuesday of every month, with the exception of August, at 7pm. The Council is in recess in August.
