According to the Bupa UK Wellbeing Index, 50% of men have struggled with mental health difficulties at some point, yet fewer than half have sought medical advice.

We know that asking for help can seem daunting, so we have some practical steps you can take to feel empowered to open up:

💡 Acknowledge the problem: Accept that there is an issue that needs addressing; denial can often delay recovery and exacerbate the problem.
👂 Choose the right person to talk to: Whether this is a trusted friend or family member, your Lodge Almoner, local PGA, or one of our Enquiry Officers, the right person will listen without judgement and offer constructive support.
✏️ Prepare your thoughts: This doesn’t mean you need to have a script, but it can help to have a clear idea of what you want to say beforehand to reduce any anxiety.
💬 Be honest and open: Authenticity is important. Being truthful and vulnerable can not only help you receive the help you need but also build deeper relationships with those around you.
📍 Ask for specific help: Only you can know how this crisis is affecting you, so make sure to identify specific ways others can support you, even if this simply means being a listening ear.

If you are in need of support you can call our enquiry line on 0800 035 60 90 or email [email protected] to speak to a member of our Advice and Support Team.

Freemasonry traces its roots back hundreds of years.

While we no longer build cathedrals from stone, the principles remain the same:

📐 Learning from others

🤝 Supporting one another

⚖️ Acting with integrity

❤️ Serving our communities

These values are just as relevant today as they were centuries ago.

And they continue to guide Prince of Wales Lodge No. 671 Llanelli.

A gift of £500 was recently given to Strumble Lodge 4351 by the Richard Warburton Lodge No 9767 to pass on to a deserving local charity in the community. We chose to make the donation to Transition Bro Gwaun an active Fishguard based charity doing great work in our local area.

A most enjoyable evening at our Regular Lodge Meeting last Wednesday where we welcomed Frenni Lodge: Freemasonry who claimed the West Wales Mason Travelling Gavel from our possession. With visitors from Narberth & Brethren on their annual trip from Teifi Lodge here too - we had a great night.
Got to love the Travelling Gavel🤝🧳🔨🫶
