A massive thank you to Craft, Collectables & Curios Market and Di’s Teas for their incredible efforts in fundraising for our local branch!

They raised a fantastic £448.20 for us!

They are a really incredible group and raise money for local charities in the community every month so please, if you have the time, pop in and see them any Saturday in Fishguard town hall, it’ll always be a for a great cause!

“Richard Morley passed eacefully at Withybush Hospital, Richard of Fishguard. Loving uncle of Mark, Mike, Paul & Rhodri and a dear brother-in-law of Debra. Funeral service on Tuesday 27th January at the Chapel of Rest, Feidr Castell, Fishguard at 11am followed by interment at Llanwnda Cemetery. Family flowers only. In late December we presented a Certificate of appreciation and plaque to Denise of The Old Coach House Fishguard for her dedication to the branch as our treasurer but also for hosting us as our official RBL meeting venue.

Today we spent a nice afternoon with Jenny the manager of The Royal Oak presenting another certificate of appreciation and an RBL plaque for their continued years supporting the branch and looking after its members as well as hosting the Veterans night every year.

Our branch is very lucky to have such a good relationship with the pubs in Fishguard and we’re very glad to have them!

A massive thank you to both Denise, Jenny and the amazing staff of both pubs for putting up with us!!

This evening we’ve met in Riches favourite places, enjoying his favourite past time and talking of times of old.

We played his favourite songs. We drank at the places he held dear to his heart and frequented often.

It is my sad and solemn duty as Chairman to inform the branch and members of the very sad passing of our dear friend Richard.
He sadly passed away in hospital today, Friday, the 9th of January, 2026.

Rich was a very well known and loved member of the branch, the town and especially the pubs, he loved to chat to anyone no matter who they were and had an amazing character.

He was very special to our branch, was everything the Legion stands for and will always live on in our hearts.
