We recruit and train volunteers who are often parents themselves to visit families with at least one child aged five or under, and offer them informal, friendly and confidential support.

Volunteers needed - our next training course starts soon. With a mix of face to face and online training, our free course will prepare you to support local families who just need a bit of help. If you have parenting experience, are passionate about making a difference, and have a couple of hours once a week to spare, then get in touch. We'd love to tell you a bit more about what we do, and how you could help https://homestarteemd.org.uk/contact-us/

For families with children with SEND, in Exmouth and Exeter East constituency. https://www.davidreed.uk/events/send-town-hall

📢 Parents and carers of children with SEND in , I’d like to hear from you.

As discussions continue around changes to SEND provision, I know many families have concerns about how reforms could affect the support their children receive.

On Thursday, 23rd July 2026 at 6:00pm, I’ll be hosting a SEND Town Hall for local parents and carers. The session will focus on key areas of the proposed reforms, while also giving attendees the opportunity to share their experiences of SEND support and services locally.

To help keep the discussion constructive and manageable, spaces will be limited, so please register your interest to be notified once the venue and further details are confirmed.

⚠️ Please note: this event is open to constituents of Exmouth & Exeter East only.
