Could you be a Squirrel volunteer and join our Drey? 🐿️
We have now been successfully running Squirrels for three years with Squirrels and Volunteers having great fun and learning together.
Our young Squirrels have achieved so much, having fun with cooking and shelter building, growing plants and navigating their way around local parks. They have raised money for children in Malawi and had days out including to Petworth Park. The most rewarding part of being involved is seeing them achieving the top Award the Chief Scout Acorn Award and moving up to Beavers.
Our Squirrels meet at our Headquarters in Conigar Rd Wednesday 5.15pm to 6.15pm during term times, the one hour sessions are a brilliant opportunity for young people to take their first step into being part of Scouts.
Volunteering is not just about giving back, the benefits go both ways. All of our activities at Emsworth Scouts are run by amazing volunteers. Volunteering lets you try new things, meet new people, and make a difference. We know that volunteering is because when you volunteer, you’ll, do something good for your community and yourself, gain skills for the future and gain experience with young people, as well as making friends and life long memories.
