🌟 Volunteers' Week 2026 🌟

This week, we'd like to say a huge THANK YOU to all of the incredible volunteers and leaders at 3rd Hayling Scouts.

Every week, our volunteers give their time, energy, skills and enthusiasm to help young people gain confidence, learn new skills, make friends and enjoy adventures they'll never forget. From running meetings and organising activities to helping behind the scenes, every contribution makes a difference.

We simply couldn't do what we do without you, and we are so grateful for everything you give to our Scout group and local community.

Have you ever thought about volunteering?

Whether you can spare a few hours a month or would like to get more involved, we'd love to welcome you to the team. No previous Scouting experience is needed.

📧 To find out more, email Sarah at [email protected]

Thank you once again to all our volunteers 😀

A couple of years ago—back when we were Venture Scouts in the early 90s—we spent our summers cruising the canals on week-long boat trips. 🚤

Fast forward 30+ years, and while a few things have changed, one thing hasn’t… the friendships. 💙

This week, a group of us are back on the canals, reliving those adventures, sharing plenty of laughs, and proving that scouting really does create friends for life.

Huge congratulations to Dominic Allgood! ⚜️👑.

Dom attended the King’s Scout Award celebrations in Windsor at the weekend -an incredible milestone achieved through years of dedication and commitment. We couldn’t be prouder of you.

Starting as a Beaver Scout at just six years old (pictured receiving his Bronze Award), Dom has grown into an outstanding and dedicated leader with Eagle Troop Scouts.

You are an inspiration to every young person in our group, showing that with determination and passion, Scouting can take you anywhere.
