Do you have a small business? Would you like to have a stall for this event?

Come and be a part of this fantastic initiative for the area. Details below ⬇️

A few weeks ago, this was just going to be a small event inside our wee Little Brains unit.

Now I've somehow ended up booking an entire car park. 😳

Why? (Possibly because im off my head 🤣)

Because I felt like this was important, our team feel its important.

Like many people, I've watched recent events unfold and felt sad seeing families made to feel unwelcome, judged or blamed simply because of where they come from, what they believe, or the colour of their skin.

That isn't the community or the Scotland I know.

Every day at Little Brains, we meet children and families from different backgrounds, cultures and religions. Their children play together, learn together and grow together. They don't see differences as something to fear. They see them as something normal.

And honestly, I think we could all learn a lot from that.

So we've decided to create a day that celebrates the things that make us different while reminding ourselves of the things we all have in common.

The families who have chosen to build a life here are part of our community. They work here, volunteer here, support local businesses, raise their children here and contribute in ways that make our communities better.

They belong here.

This event isn't political. It's not about making statements or taking sides.

It's about kindness.

It's about children.

It's about creating a space where people can come together, share food, stories, traditions, music and laughter, and leave knowing a little more about their neighbours than they did before.

I'll be honest, booking the whole Greenhills Square car park was a massive leap of faith for me. Little Brains isn't a huge organisation with huge budgets. We're a small community group with a big heart and an even bigger hope that people will get behind this.

My hope is simple.

That families walk away feeling welcomed.

That children see diversity being celebrated.

That people who may never have spoken before leave as friends.

And that our community shows exactly what it's made of.

If that's something you'd like to be part of, we'd love to see you there.
