🟣 It has been a joy to have new girls move up to Brigaders.

The girls have been busy between making protein balls & truffles, to learning basic sewing machine skills and planning trips and possible joint activities with the Juniors.

🔵 Our Juniors started the term with vision boards and also enjoyed our annual scavenger trail. The girls impressively picked up very easily how to make the heart paper chains.

They have been really put out their comfort zones being placed into squads to try and develop team skills with other girls & are are appreciating the concept of squad points though they are keen to know what prizes there might be going forward 😆

Trying to keep the games fresh, we introduced Human Mario Kart which was particularly fun!

🔴 Our Explorers have been having lots of fun from scanvenger hunts to scratch art sea life pictures as they consider caring for nature. Weekly games are a firm favourite and we have been focusing the last few weeks on games which help us learn everyone’s name.

🍁 September has flown in with our first month back at GB.

Great to see the girls back and some new girls joining us too!!

Our theme over the next months is Image Bearers 🪞 Through our devotions and activities we will be discussing this more, digging into what the Bible says and thinking what this means to each one of us 🤔 🤍

All the girls have planted sunflower 🌻 seeds and are competing for the largest sunflower over the summer.

There seems to be some momentum growing 🤪 and some serious efforts being invested using potassium rich water from banana skins, turning the pots daily to nurture and grow these seedlings.

Who will be crowned the sunflower champion? Stay tuned…😎

We did some stunning and impressive crafts too in April - our Explorers coloured these Māori Koru patterns from New Zealand & the Juniors made intricate Easter baskets which took a lot of patience. Well done girls ☺️
