🌈 VOLUNTEERS WANTED – JOIN LITTLE TREASURES! 🌈
Little Treasures Autism Charity is expanding, and we’re looking for friendly, committed volunteers to join our team. 💙 If you can spare just 2–3 hours a month, you could help us run our social groups, youth groups, pre-teen groups, parent support groups or cookery groups, or even bring a new activity idea of your own! No previous experience is needed and FREE training is provided. Volunteers also benefit from discounted trips and in-house activities, exclusive volunteer events and the opportunity to meet new people while making a real difference in the community. 🌟 Interested? A huge thank you to everyone who has supported Little Treasures!

In October 2025, we were selected to receive Co-op funding for 12 months. We’re delighted to share that, thanks to your support, we raised £2,158. This funding will help us provide food hampers through our charity. We’re incredibly grateful to everyone who contributed and helped make this possible. 💙

We’d also like to thank Peterlee Town Council and Councillors P. Cartwright, B. Fishwick, A. Laing and D. Meadows for supporting the cost of our room hire and in-house activities during the February and May half-term holidays in 2027, this will us keep providing support for our families and children for another year in Peterlee. We have three fantastic groups taking place this week, and we’d love to see you there!
💙 Parent Support Group 📍 Ferryhill Institute 📅 Today ⏰ 11.00am - 12.30pm
A welcoming and supportive space for parents and carers to chat, share experiences, and connect with others who understand.
🎨 Youth Group 📍 Ferryhill Institute 📅 Friday ⏰ 5.00pm - 6.30pm
I’ve been told there will be cooking activities alongside arts and crafts and games, so it’s set to be a fun-filled evening for our young people!
🎃 Framwellgate Social Group 📍 Framwellgate Community Centre 📅 Saturday ⏰ 1.00pm - 3.00pm
This week comes with a twist! We’ll be getting messy with lots of autumn and Halloween-themed sensory and messy play activities, making it a fantastic afternoon of fun and creativity.

🏊 October Half‑Term Pool Party
We’re kicking off the holidays with a splash at our all‑ages Pool Party.

📅 Saturday 24th October
📍 Spennymoor Leisure Centre

Enjoy a fun, relaxed swim session with floats, toys and a friendly atmosphere for everyone.

Safety Information

Children under 8 who cannot swim must be accompanied in the water by an adult.

Any child who is not a confident swimmer must also have an adult with them in the pool.

A great way to start half term together.
