Good afternoon to all our lovely friends.
The day centre will be closed for all services on
Monday 2 November as we pay our respects to our much-missed friend, Val Moir.
Val’s funeral service will be held at 10.45 am at Dunfermline Crematorium. We understand that not everyone will be able to attend, so her family have kindly shared the following details for joining the service via video link:

Dear all,

It is with great sadness that we announce the unexpected passing of our much-loved colleague and friend, Val Moir.

Val has been a very special part of the Abbeyview Day Centre for over
ten years. She first joined us as a volunteer before becoming one of our drivers and relief drivers, and throughout all those years she gave so much of herself to the centre and the people we support.

Val made a lasting impact on everyone she met — not only our staff and fellow volunteers, but also our members and their carers. Her kindness, warmth and dedication will be remembered and cherished by so many.

She was truly a valued and much-loved member of our Abbeyview family, and her unexpected passing has left a great sadness in all our hearts.

On behalf of everyone at the centre, we would like to send our deepest sympathy, love and warmest wishes to Val’s family and loved ones at this incredibly difficult time.

Val will be sorely missed, but she will never be forgotten. ❤️

Rest peacefully, Val. You will always be part of the Abbeyview family. 🕊️

Hey, all our wonderful friends! Just a little reminder that tomorrow, George Connolley will be swimming with sharks to raise funds for the Day Centre.
