Falling UP Together SCIO Falling UP Together aims to improve wellbeing through the agency of culture & ethical collaboration

Falling UP Together (SCIO) will operate as an art collective for mental wellbeing that facilitates socially integrated artistic collaborations for all levels of mental health. Falling UP Together (SCIO) promotes inclusion, equality, destigmatization, arts education and advocacy for neuro-diversity through participants' cultural contribution to society. Qualified artists, who are also researchers

in art, mental illness and recovery will artistically mentor participants within art collaborations. Artistic mentors will include those with mental illness in recovery lifestyles. Participants will be supported in short and long-term collaborations to access cultural society through their creativity in self-actualised art practices of purpose and meaning.

Reviewing your artwork is a natural process for us all, and one of the best ways is to take a photo with your phone. Why best? A photo immediately gives you 2-types of distance. One, you look at your work as if it were further away than the closeness as you make the art. Second, you have material distance - the art in a photo is a 'trace'. Both types of distance allow you to think differently, to appreciate what you've created differently:-)
