We were delighted to welcome Air cadets from both 1153 Dumfries - RAF Air Cadets and 2329 Castle Douglas Squadron ATC this week for an after hours visit.
Our volunteers opened the entire museum for them by appointment, giving them the chance to add context to some of their training, learn about some of our aircraft and hopefully take away some extra knowledge too.
I think its fair to say our volunteers also enjoyed themsleves, some of whom have their own connection to the Air Cadet Organisation.
We look forward to welcoming these Squadrons and others in future.

Another ‘first’ for tonight. We were hosted by the wonderful volunteer staff at the Dumfries & Galloway Aviation Museum. They opened the entire museum up to a group of 1153 and 2329 Sqn Castle Douglas Air Cadets.

A wonderful and very interesting evening. Photos to follow.

Thanks again for hosting us!!!!!

Well done to all the cadets, staff and Civilians Committee who attended the Dowding Day service in Moffat. Great attendance and being able to take part and support this important event that celebrates the Fighter Command leader during the Battle of Britain.

It’s been a very busy weekend; you should all be incredibly proud of yourselves.

Photos will be uploaded soon!
