☀️Scorchio talent on show on Fathering Sunday☀️

On a roasting hot day at the High School 3G Greystone 2016s hosted a 9 team mini-fest which saw 3 Greystone teams on show (Redwings, Blackhawks and our 2017 Impact) along with Annan Athletic Community Football x2, Heston Rovers 2016's x2, Threave Rovers 2016s & Nithsdale Wanderers 2016s.

There was a superb shift from every kid in Greystone red today in the blistering heat. The work ethic was on point and some of the passing and link up play was beautiful to watch. The last games saw all teams rinse out their last beads of sweat and all three teams seen their 6 games predominantly result in the outcomes their play deserved.

Players of the day saw Redwings captain Noah select Thomas D who’s foot movement was relentless as well as playing at both ends of the pitch.
Blackhawks captain Lucas selected Jensen who found the net regularly and spread the ball around when needed.
Impact captain Quinn selected Jayke who gave all he had every minute he was on the pitch. Drove forward with purpose when needed and was a pest to every opponent.

All in all a toon morning of football and some cracking tans worked on to top off some tremendous football!

2016s now look forward to the Caledonian Youth Club Festival on Sunday 28th and will no doubt top the day off by getting their summer break started by coming down the road for some Youth Beats action!

🔴⚫️Busy fortnight for form finding 2016s⚫️🔴

It’s been a busy couple of weeks for our 2016s teams. Last Saturday (6th June), the players that weren’t present the week before at the Cleator Moor tourni attended the Carlisle Reivers tourni. The team enjoyed some good games against unfamiliar opponents in the shape of Warwick Wanderers, Carlisle Reivers, Wattfield Youth and Ibis FC. A good competitive day was had
The following day the squad squeezed two teams and headed to Gretna where games ensured with the hosts, Dalbeattie, Mids and Uppers. Some good conditioning with neither team having subs and some nice goals scored and reward for the efforts given. Robbie & Harry came out of the weekend with player of the day awards and thus captains armband.
Yesterday a more fuller looking squad attended QoS Community Trust’s opening hosted games at the Holm Park in Troqueer. A staple of Dumfries football for decades, it was great to see ‘the Holmy’ buzzing again after a few years of little use.
As well as hosts Queens, our Greystone kids also faced teams from Annan, Soccerbees, Gretna and Nithsdale. Both Redwings and Blackhawks squads applied good hard working and energetic showings throughout the morning with both teams seeing a positive outcome via the performance levels matching their results. Some great goals scored including a debut goal for Noah in his first game for the famous 🔴⚫️⚪️🧨.
Players of the day went to Lucas for the Redwings and Noah for the Blackhawks. Well done to Jack for winning the closest to the line challenge and thus winning the signed Lyndon D***s framed print as supplied by QoSCT.
Next up for the 2016s (& some 2017s) is hosting duties this Sunday, 11am at the High School 3g with an 8 team schedule planned.

Top Tier Levels! 📊at The Crichton

Yesterday, our 2017s hosted the regular fixtures against Annan Athletic Community Football Queen of the South Community Trust Heston Rovers 2017s & Soccer Bees Girls

WHAT A DAY! Both teams producing top tier level football! 😍

Consistent performances game after game today with some of the best team football seen from the group. Free flowing football from everyone today and pleasing to see the training ground work being applied in training! More pleasing to see barage of shooting from the kids today, having been a little shot shy at times. Some rockets from both teams.

Dynamo Captain today, Hunter, really found his feet and put in his best performance yet in a Greystone top. Hunter passed on Captain Duties to todays PotD, who was a constant menace to defenders with her work rate. Well done Ferg 👏

Well done, Jack, on a quality Captain's performance. Outgoing Captain, Jack, assisted with making the PotD decision for Impact.

Thansk for all your support in the first half of the season, as we now start to slow down a head of our summer break, but keep watching for our weekly challenges, and up dates of fixtures to come mid July, onwards.
