💜✊ A huge thank you to our colleagues in Eis West Dunbartonshire Local Association for their support and solidarity shown today.

Across West Dunbartonshire, schools came together and sent in photos showing staff standing alongside our Grade 3 Learning Assistant members or from within the school 📸🏫

This support means so much and sends a powerful message; school communities recognise and value the work Learning Assistants do every single day to support children and young people.

Today showed that this isn’t just one group raising concerns, there is a shared feeling across our schools that support staff deserve recognition, respect, and to be properly valued for the essential role they play.

Thank you to everyone who stood with us, shared messages of support, and helped make your voices heard 💜

Together we are stronger. Together we keep pushing for West Dunbartonshire Council to acknowledge and properly value the work of Learning Assistants. ✊💜

👏💜 What an incredible show of strength from our Grade 3 Learning Assistant members this morning.

The solidarity and support shown by fellow school support staff and teaching colleagues was absolutely outstanding 👏🏽📚 It was powerful to see so many people standing together in recognition of the essential work Learning Assistants do every single day.

Today was also a clear demonstration of the strength of feeling among UNISON members who feel undervalued and overlooked. Your voices were heard loud and clear 🔊💜

Now let’s keep pushing and make West Dunbartonshire Council acknowledge, recognise, and properly value the work you do to support children, families, and school communities every day 💪🏽🏫

Together we are stronger. Together we keep up the pressure. ✊💜
