A new chapter for DACA! ❤️

After more than 50 years of supporting people across West Dunbartonshire, we're delighted to introduce DACA Connections.

Many of you will know us as Dumbarton Area Council on Alcohol. While our name and focus are changing, our commitment to supporting local people remains as strong as ever.

DACA Connections will build on our decades of counselling experience, broadening our focus to support people facing a wider range of life's challenges.

We're developing new services and opportunities to help people find support, build connections and make positive changes in their lives.

We'll have much more to share in the coming weeks and months, and we hope you'll join us on this next chapter of our journey.

Almost October, and there is still so much beautiful colour in DACA's community garden at Westbridgend 😍. Thanks to the hard-work of our volunteers and generosity of our donors, we've been able to enjoy these beautiful blooms all summer long. We're so grateful 🙏🥹

As the weather changes, we'll have fewer opportunities to spend our Tuesday mornings outdoors, so look out for our 'Inside/Out' programme coming soon, with details of social, fun and inclusive indoor activities coming in the near future.

📣Ahoy local community groups!📣

We have a fully working therapy bed to dispose of, and would give any local services first shout. The vinyl is quite discoloured (see photos), but may be treatable. Otherwise, it is in good working order.

The bed is fully adjustable (working height, back and foot rest sections). It has removable arms and removable head support cushion with face hole beneath.

PLEASE NOTE we cannot deliver or assist with removal. THIS IS A VERY HEAVY ITEM and will require a couple of strong lifters at least. IT IS IN AN UPSTAIRS ROOM SO WILL NEED TO BE LIFTED DOWNSTAIRS and you'll need a van to transport.
At DACA Clydebank, ready to collect. Donation to DACA welcome but not essential. DM if interested :)

If you'd like to meet up with some lovely people and do a bit of light gardening, then why not start tomorrow? DACA Connections' community gardening group is on from 10am, and it's going to be a lovely sunny day, so of course there will be ice lollies!
