Hi folks ❤️

We’ve got a wee announcement to make…

After plenty of chats (and more cups of tea than we’d like to admit!), we’ve made the difficult decision not to run a Big Night Oot event in 2026.

Life has a funny way of keeping us on our toes, and due to some personal commitments, taking a year out is the right thing for us to do.

But don’t panic — this isn’t goodbye!

The Big Night Oot will be back in 2027, and while we’ll miss seeing all your smiling faces next year, we’ll be using the time to dream up new ideas, make plans, and get everything ready for a return that’s bigger, better, and even more memorable.

From the bottom of our hearts, thank you to every single person who’s joined us along the way. Whether you’ve bought a ticket, dragged your pals along, shared our posts, danced the night away, or simply supported us from afar — you’ve helped make The Big Night Oot what it is today.

What started as an idea in 2007 became a community, and that’s something we’ll never take for granted. So here’s to a year of making memories, looking after yourselves, and getting excited for what’s to come.

We’ll miss you in 2026, but we’ll see you again in 2027 for another unforgettable Big Night Oot.

Keep the seat warm for us. ❤️

Much love,

Team Flutterby x

We had the privilege of meeting Jean a couple of times when she was Health Secretary in Scotland during our campaign for access to the new generation of cystic fibrosis drugs. At a time when so much was at stake for families affected, she listened, she cared, and she helped. She was one of the MSPs who truly made a difference, and we will always be grateful for her compassion and support. Our thoughts are with her family, friends, and everyone who loved her. Rest in peace, Jean.

Former health secretary Jeane Freeman has died aged 72, following an unexpected cancer diagnosis
