Leo hating life with his cone 😂 wouldn’t stop licking at his stitches though.

Flew through the operation 💙💙 he is soooo clingy to me already so definitely suit a home where he can be your sticking plaster.

Applications are now open for Odin. There will be at least 2 meet and greets and the right experienced home comes along to continue his training and confidence building.

162 mile round trip this morning whilst 7 and a half months pregnant.

My friend handled the rehoming of her German Shepherd 8 month puppy Odin yesterday as I wasn’t meant to be taking any more rescues in so pregnant. She met what she thought was an experienced and worthy family.

After just a few hours they decided he wasn’t for them.

But wouldn’t drop him back to her. Instead wanted him picked up from Limavady. Made excuses.

They kept the lead on him and had him in the garden, but instead of encouraging the scared pup to come into the house with his attached lead, or even pulling him inside, they left him out in the STORMY weather the entire night.

Disgusted isn’t a strong enough word. Spent hours this morning, on the day of my daughters formal, travelling to get the poor pup back.

I also didn’t sleep a wink thinking of him outside in the rain and strong winds.

He is now happily at my home to get him socialised with other dogs as he is a complete wuss, and for the rehoming to be done through me.

Not an ounce of aggression. Just confused, scared and taken by adults who haven’t a clue but pretended they did.

Please remember that ALL dogs are uptight, unsure and scared the first time in a new house with complete strangers. Don’t judge a dog’s personality the first day you have it. Don’t fuss over the dog give it space, carry on with your day to day life and chores, ignore them.

He has settled in to my home fabulously.

I have received a lot of messages regarding home offers. I will open applications once he has come through his neutering operation :)

Odin - 8 months old German Shepherd male pup

We are located in Dromara N Ireland

A friend is needing to rehome Odin due to neighbours complaining about barking when she is at work. She isn’t in position to use a doggy day care.

Good with kids cats. He is a typical young German shep. He needs an experienced owner to build his confidence. I am working on his socialisation and he is learning very quickly although he is a big wimp 😂😂 House trained and crate trained.

Look at those ears 🥰

Update - we are located in Northern Ireland 💜💜

Due to pregnancy I have not taken any dogs in for rehoming recently but this boys situation was life or death due to snapping at a toddler.

Leo is a 3 year old white Miniature Schnauzer who snapped when stolen food was tried to be removed by the wee one. He didn’t break skin but sadly he was going to be pts so thank god the lady got hold of me before his time.

He is absolutely gorgeous and great with older children and adults. It is important to know how to see the signs of any dog that’s guarding some lovely stolen food. My children are 5 and 8 and have been brought up around many new dogs in the household through my dog minding and rescue, and know how to also. He has been well lovely and cared for up to this situation.

He isn’t neutered but will be shortly.

Rehoming form will open in due course once I have got to know him abit more 🤍
