‼️ Last week, our cadets had the fantastic opportunity to attend two exciting ice hockey fixtures featuring the RAF Aces.

On Tuesday evening, we watched the RAF Aces take on the British Army Blades, securing a brilliant victory in an action-packed game. Thursday saw the Aces face the Royal Navy Destroyers in another thrilling match, although this time the result didn't go our way.

The evenings were made even more memorable as our own Flight Sergeant Hicks was invited onto the ice to proudly wave the Royal Air Force flag, representing both the Wing and RAF Air Cadets. Cadet Cooper also had the honour of receiving one of the game pucks from the referee – a moment they won't soon forget!

Both nights provided a fantastic experience for all involved. The trips were thoroughly enjoyed by everyone who attended and will certainly be remembered for a long time to come.

A huge thank you to all those who helped organise these opportunities for our cadets. 🏒✈️🩵

📣Volunteer week📣
We would like to say a massive thank you for all the staff and civilian committee for everything they do for 103 Doncaster.
We wouldn’t be the Sqn we are today if it wasn’t for the dedication and time the staff and civilian committee give to the Sqn through evenings and weekend commitments.

📣 Last Night we said farewell to Pilot Officer Tuffrey and CWO Tuffrey as they leave our squadron and begin a new chapter at 1053 (Armthorpe) Squadron.

Both have made an incredible impact on our squadron over the years through their dedication, leadership, support, and commitment to developing generations of cadets. Their influence has helped shape the squadron into what it is today, and their presence will be greatly missed by staff and cadets alike.

While we are sad to see them go, we are grateful for everything they have contributed and wish them every success in their new roles. Their legacy will continue to live on through the Tuffrey Shooting Trophy, awarded for excellence in shooting, serving as a lasting reminder of the mark they have left on the squadron.

Thank you both for your service, guidance, and unwavering commitment. We wish you the very best for the future and look forward to hearing of your continued success.

Good luck, and farewell from everyone at the squadron. ✈️🩵

Big thank you to Sgt Baker for joining us at 103 Doncaster Sqn on Friday evening and delivering another fantastic fieldcraft session — this time with a culinary twist! 🍳🔥

Cadets swapped tactical manoeuvres for tactical cooking as everyone got involved, cooking up a storm… well, at least a ration pack and a mighty brew! ☕🥘

The atmosphere was “intense” as cadets put their survival skills to the test, proving that fieldcraft isn’t just about camouflage and shelters — sometimes it’s about mastering the art of boil-in-the-bag cuisine!

A great evening full of teamwork, laughs, and plenty of “souper” effort from everyone involved. Thanks again Sgt Baker for serving up another brilliant session! 👏

103 Doncaster Sqn would like to say a heartfelt goodbye to the newly promoted Sgt Grisdale.

From day one, Sgt Grisdale has shown excellence, commitment, and determination in everything she has done. Throughout her time with the squadron, she has grown in confidence, developed valuable skills, and become a fantastic role model to others around her.

We are incredibly proud to see her take those skills and experiences forward into an exciting new job opportunity, and we have no doubt she has a brilliant future ahead of her.

Thank you for everything you have given to 103 Sqn — we wish you every success and happiness for the future. Good luck, Sergeant! ✈️:

🌟 103 (Doncaster) Sqn – Progressive Training Syllabus Day 🌟

On Star Wars Day – May the 4th, the Force was truly strong at 103 (Doncaster) Sqn as we hosted an action-packed Progressive Training Syllabus day for cadets from across Sector 5!

From mastering Air Rifle weapons training and AR shooting, to developing lifesaving skills in Blue First Aid, alongside Archery, Bronze Leadership, and Bronze Cyber, our cadets embraced every challenge like true Jedi in training.

There was no “try” – only do – and our cadets rose to the occasion, demonstrating skill, determination, and teamwork worthy of the Jedi Order (and a few future Leaders too 👀).

By the end of the day, cadets didn’t just complete training… they secured a galaxy of qualifications and achievements to take forward on their journey.

A huge thank you to all staff and supporting teams who made the day possible – the coordination was as smooth as the Millennium Falcon in hyperspace (on a good day!).

Remember… the Force will be with you, always.
