The Air Training Corps "Air Cadets" provides many young people with the opportunity to do many exciting activities that otherwise they would never have the chance to do. Some of these include flying, gliding, shooting, adventure training, sports and many other diverse activities. Also as a cadet within the Air Training Corps you will have the chance to develop many skills such as teamwork, leadership, discipline, communication, self-confidence and many other personal developments.

🏆 October Round Up at 103!! 🏆

October has been another fantastic month at the squadron, with plenty of achievements to celebrate! ✨

👏 Two Corporal Promotions – Congratulations to our newly promoted Corporals, Cpl Oldacre & Cpl Colveron!! The interview process was incredibly competitive, with everyone who took part doing an amazing job. It was a really difficult decision, and we're incredibly proud of everyone who stepped up and challenged themselves.

🎯 Blue Shot Award – Well done to cadet Padgett for achieving his Blue Shot award!

🥉 Silver Duke of Edinburgh's Award – A huge well done to Sgt Warren done for completing this fantastic achievement, demonstrating dedication, perseverance and determination.

🇬🇧 Battle of Britain Parade – Our cadets also took part in the Battle of Britain Parade, showing pride, respect and remembrance as we honoured those who fought for our country.

🏕️ Adventure Training Weekend – Our cadets also had the opportunity to get involved in adventure training, stepping outside their comfort zones, developing teamwork and building confidence through new challenges. Experiences like these are a brilliant part of cadet life and help our young people develop valuable skills along the way!

🛩️ Welcoming Our New Recruits – October has also seen new faces joining the 103 family! A huge welcome to all our new recruits. We look forward to seeing you settle in, get involved in squadron life and make the most of the opportunities ahead of you.

🌺 Poppy Collecting – A huge thank you to our cadets who gave up their time to collect for the Poppy Appeal at Doncaster Lakeside. Your efforts help support the Royal British Legion and the Armed Forces community, and we're incredibly proud of you for giving back.

💙 Farewell to Our Former Officer Commanding – We would also like to recognise the departure of our former Officer Commanding and thank them for their time, commitment and contribution to 103 Doncaster Air Cadets. We wish them all the very best for the future!

A massive well done to everyone recognised this month! It's brilliant to see our cadets continuing to develop their skills, take on new challenges and achieve great things. We're incredibly proud of you all! 💙

🥾 103 Doncaster Air Cadets – Adventure Training Competition! 🏕️
Our cadets recently had the opportunity to represent 103 (Doncaster) Squadron at the first Adventure Training Competition held across the Wing, joining cadets from squadrons across the Wing for a weekend of challenge, teamwork and adventure.
The competition was a fantastic opportunity for our cadets to step outside their comfort zones, meet and work alongside other cadets, and put their skills to the test. 💪
Throughout the competition, they took part in:
🧭 Navigation
🏃 Orienteering
🧗 Climbing & abseiling
🔥 Camp craft
From navigating their way around the course and tackling the climbing and abseiling challenges, to working together on camp craft, there were plenty of opportunities to learn, support each other and build confidence.

🍳🔥 A couple of our cadets even put their Trangias to good use, cooking up steak sandwiches after a busy day!🥩🥪

A huge well done to all of our cadets who took part, and to the staff who supported them throughout. It was fantastic to see everyone getting stuck in, supporting one another and taking on challenges together.

💙 National Cadet Week 💙
This week is all about celebrating our cadets, and we couldn’t let it pass without saying how proud we are of the cadets at 103 (Doncaster) Squadron.

Over the years, we’ve seen so many of our cadets grow from nervous new starters into confident, capable young people. We’ve watched you push yourselves, try things you never thought you would, take on responsibilities, support each other and achieve some pretty amazing things along the way.

The photos below are just a small snapshot of some of those achievements from activities and competitions to camps, courses, awards, leadership opportunities and everything in between.

Of course, we’re proud of the qualifications, promotions, competitions and awards, but it’s the little things too. Seeing a cadet gain confidence, watching someone step up to help another cadet, or seeing someone realise they’re capable of more than they thought.
That’s what makes being part of 103 Squadron so special.

To all our cadets, You make us proud every week, and we can’t wait to see what you go on to achieve next.🩵

A Proud Evening for 103 Doncaster Squadron
What a fantastic Saturday late afternoon for our cadets!
Our cadets had the opportunity to take part in the Sector 5 Battle of Britain Parade at the South Yorkshire Aircraft Museum in Doncaster.
It was brilliant to see them representing 103 Doncaster Squadron with such confidence, smartness and professionalism. They did themselves, their families and the squadron incredibly proud. 👏
Events like this give our cadets the opportunity to come together with others from across Sector 5, while also taking a moment to remember the courage and sacrifice of those who defended our skies during the Battle of Britain.
A huge well done to all of our cadets who took part — you were a real credit to Sector 5.
A special thank you to CWO Tuffrey from 1053 Armthorpe Squadron, CWO Krol and CWO Bleything for working together to organise and run the event. Your time and effort helped make it such a memorable afternoon for everyone involved.
We would also like to recognise Sgt Clark, who had the honour of laying a wreath on behalf of Sector 5, helping us to pay our respects to those who made the ultimate sacrifice.
A fantastic afternoon of remembrance, respect and squadron pride.
We will remember them 🌹

🏇 What a way to spend a Saturday! 🏇

On Saturday, cadets from 103 and 1053 were invited to be part of the 250th anniversary celebrations of the St Leger.
The cadets were given the fantastic opportunity to hold the jockeys placards and stand proudly behind the jockeys in the Owners’ Area. An opportunity we simply couldn’t pass up!
They represented the RAF Air Cadets with such pride, professionalism and confidence, standing proudly in their uniforms and showing exactly what young people can achieve when given opportunities like this. ❤️
We honestly couldn’t be prouder of them. They did themselves, their families and their units proud, and it was wonderful to see them play such a special part in such an important celebration.
On behalf of 103, we would like to say a huge thank you to Doncaster Racecourse for an amazing afternoon and for giving our cadets the opportunity to be involved in such a memorable occasion.
A huge thank you also to 1053 for attending with us and joining us in celebrating this fantastic milestone.

The Ensign at 103 (Doncaster) Squadron was flown at half-mast today, and our final parade concluded with a minute’s silence in honour of Wg Cdr Moss OBE.

Our thoughts are with his family and friends, who came together today to celebrate his life and remember his many achievements.

His legacy within the RAF Air Cadets will live on through the staff and cadets he inspired and supported throughout his service. He will be greatly missed and fondly remembered.

📢 Last Friday, our cadets took part in a Leadership Night! ✈️

Throughout the evening, they completed several different leadership exercises, putting their communication, teamwork and leadership skills to the test. Everyone did a fantastic job and showed great effort throughout the activities! 👏
