Pioneer Social Enterprise Ltd is a not-for-profit organisation. Our primary concern is to address food / fuel poverty and help those on low income to train, gain qualification and work experience. We battle poverty by using various methods that will benefit everyone. Offering unique opportunities to help people brake barriers to gaining employment. We improve their quality of life through trai

ning, learning new skills while enjoying new experiences in a professional working environment. We welcome and work with a range of learners from all walks of life with a diverse range of special requirements and unique disabilities. We currently work with those on the autistic spectrum, cancer survivors, Alzheimer's sufferers, Diabetics, those living with mental illness, as well as people with other illnesses and changeling needs and disabilities. Our team are experienced professionals in their own fields, who encourage and strive to teach every individual the skills they require at a pace they are comfortable with. The volunteers we employ are supported through their development while teaching them new skills . We help them with money management to make their benefits go further. All our staff benefit from our eco friendly food bank, which gives each volunteer a weekly hamper cutting their food costs, creating disposable income which helps them to pay for rising fuel costs. Members engage in a daily breakfast club, lunch club and tea & coffee club. Our team is committed to improving the quality of life of our volunteers where they can learn in a safe and happy working environment.

Huge thanks to SSP UK - The Food Travel Experts Group & Millie's Cookies Foundation for their recent £1,000 donation to our community partners at Mexborough, Denaby & Conisbrough Foodbank

It was great to see Jayne Lynn, SSP Cluster Manager who visited The Willows Community Centre base in Mexborough recently and pictured below with Foodbank Manager Sean Gibbons presenting the donation.

Sean said “We are extremely grateful for this financial support from the SSP Foundation. Donations such as this are essential to enable us to support local people/families less fortunate in Mexborough, Denaby & Conisbrough during the ongoing Cost of Living Crisis and the challenging period ahead”.
