What a fantastic weekend for my last event in a Cadet Voice role at the National Cadet Conference. Hundreds of Cadets from across the country came together to express their ideas and thoughts about a range of topics.

Seeing such a passionate group of young people, sharing their views freely to improve the Sea Cadets is exactly what the Cadet Voice is about.

It has been a spectacular year in which I have had many unparalleled experiences that I will remember for the rest of my life. Even with these amazing experiences, my favourite experience over this past year has been organising and running the Cadet Voice. Being able to interact and discuss with Cadets from all over Sea Cadets North West Area and beyond has been eye opening and inspiring. All I can say is thank you so much and keep sharing your thoughts and ideas!

An absolutely fantastic weekend at Ellesmere Port Sea Cadets at the start of December. I was privileged to help instruct at the CTP course. Despite some unexpected events it was a brilliant event to end the year.

It was amazing to see the improvement and development of the cadets over the weekend. I hope for best best in your future Cadet Careers.

It was amazing to get an insight into Royal Navy life at HMS Raleigh and with FOST on HMS Scott at the end of October.

Myself and the other FSLCs from across the country first visited FOST HQ at HMS Drake and were told of the importance of the organisation to the running of the Royal Navy. We were then given the privilege to tour around HMS Drake whilst it underwent FOST assessments. This gave further insights to its importance, as well as showing the various facilities that allow the ship to under take its role.

The next day we undertook an exercise at the HMS DRIU, exploring the various damage control techniques used on board vessels. We also then had a tour around HAVOC, the sinking ship simulator used by the Royal Navy.

After this we then got to witness a pass out parade, with HMS Raleigh recruits completing basic training and showing off their parade and ceremonial skills.

We are running a Cadet Voice alongside the Area Volunteer Conference this weekend.

If you have any cadets who are interested, get them booked on the conference under the Cadet Voice Sub-Activity.

This is an excellent opportunity for Cadets to get their Voices heard and enact change.

An absolutely humongous BZ to all those in attendance of the National Trafalgar Day Parade last weekend. It was a cracking display of all the Sea Cadets can offer and you all did yourselves proud.

It's amazing to think that such a large group of people can come together and in just a few short days become a finely tuned ceremonial unit.

I had the honour of laying the Sea Cadet Corps wreath at both the Service at St. Pauls Cathedral and on the day of the parade on Trafalgar Square.

Once again BZ all, you looked sharp snazzy and professional as always. A massive thank you to all the Staff and CFAVs that made the event possible too.

Yet another successful Sea Cadets North West Area Cadet Voice yesterday at Ellesmere Port Sea Cadets. 🥳

It was absolutely fantastic to see a great turnout of Cadets eager to share their thoughts, ideas and feedback. The feedback provided is essential for our Area SMT, as well as the National teams, to know what Cadets want so we can improve and make changes where we need to. So thank you very much for coming and sharing. 😁

A huge thank you to the staff who are essential to make it happen and to Ellesmere Port Unit for hosting us.

Had an absolutely amazing time at the Sea Cadets North West Area Summer Camp. It was great to network with Cadets across the area, as well as holding a mini 'Camp Cadet Voice'.

A great many thanks to all the Staff who gave their time to make it happen and deliver such a unique week.

It was fantastic to attend the Royal Marines Cadets - Bravo Company, NW Area Sea Cadets Corps 3 & 4 Troop Battle Camp a few weeks ago.

It was a real privilege to get an insight into the 'green' side of the Sea Cadets and get involved with the brilliant Staff and Cadets in the Company.

A brilliant turnout from the Cadets with their spectacular feedback and ideas to share with the Area Cadet Voice team, thank you all those who attended, we all hope to see you on the next forum on the 9th September 23. 📅
