Edlington Community Organisation (ECO) is a community charity based in the centre of Edlington, Donca EDLINGTON COMMUNITY ORGANISATION WHO ARE WE !

Edlington Community Organisation (ECO) is a community charity based in the centre of Edlington, Doncaster. Our aim is to improve and regenerate Edlington and its surrounding areas to make it a better place to live for all generations present and yet to come. As a charity we thrive off community involvement and partnership working alongside various groups and businesses. ECO was formed by a broad s

ection of community representatives and residents wanting to make a difference to Edlington and create a voice / umbrella service for the community. The organisation is managed by a volunteer board of trustees who either represent a community group or themselves as an individual. We have a members list which consists of community groups, businesses and local service providers who we use to network with and work in partnership with to provide projects and activities that are needed in the area. ECO has achieved over 1 million pounds in funding and contracts to provide essential community services since its formation

🌟 Join Our Line Dancing Class! 🌟 ❤️ Beginning Friendly ❤️

The Edliners are Back starting Monday 7th September!

They will be starting their sessions with some new absolute beginners dances making now the perfect time for anyone who’s being wanting to start line dancing and has never danced before.

The last 30 minutes will be aimed and improver and intermediate dances.
Remember, everyone is welcome to join in at whatever part of the class they feel comfortable with but those that have been dancing a while might find the first part of the class slow, as we make sure any Absolute Beginners get to grips with the basics.

They will make sure their new dancers have the chance to find their feet, while improvers can really challenge themselves and keep learning.

And that’s a wrap on our Summer Holiday Activities… and what a summer it’s been! ☀️🎉

We’ve reached the end of our summer programme, and what better way to finish than with a few more weeks of family fun! Our final sessions have included crafts, themed tea parties, mocktails, shelter building and free breakfasts, with plenty of food, fun and laughter along the way.

And, of course, the teddies have finally ALL gone! 🧸😂 We were beginning to think we might need to build them their own community centre!

A HUGE THANK YOU to our amazing volunteers for all their hard work, dedication and enthusiasm throughout the summer. ❤️ Without you, we simply couldn’t do what we do. From early morning starts, long weekends and clearing up the inevitable glitter explosions, you've been absolute stars!

We also want to say a massive thank you to all the mums, dads, grandparents and grown-ups who joined in, dressed up, helped out, and stayed behind to sweep, mop and tidy up at the end of sessions. Your support never goes unnoticed - although we're pretty sure the glitter on some of you might still be noticeable for weeks to come! ✨😂

Our final few weeks have been a brilliant mix of creativity and chaos. From kite making, personalised pens and keyrings, hat printing and designing bags, all fuelled by unlimited juice and hot dogs 🌭🎨, to our annual themed tea party with delicious homemade cakes and colourful mocktails. There was so much food that everyone went home with an afternoon tea box… and quite possibly a little extra edible glitter! 🍰🍹✨

When the weather put a stop to our outdoor shelter building, the fantastic Sandall Beat Environment Centre & Woods saved the day and helped us build teepees indoors, followed by homemade pizza. Because obviously, every good shelter needs a pizza! 🍕⛺😂

And there’s one more thing we want to shout about… ❤️ Not a single penny of our summer activities was funded. From covering room hire and activity materials to providing all that food, our team have been fundraising throughout the year to help make these affordable activities possible for the whole family.

It takes a lot of work behind the scenes to put on weeks of activities, but seeing families enjoying themselves makes every cake sale, fundraiser and fundraising event worth it. If that’s not a community coming together, we don’t know what is! ❤️👏

Our volunteers have now had a well-deserved long weekend with their families and are back refreshed and ready to plan our autumn event which include a family race night and karaoke night alongside our usual timetable.

And yes… we know what you're going to ask next.🎄Christmas planning has already begun! We know you've been asking about the Christmas Market Trip, festive dinners and other Christmas events, so watch this space! 🍁
