And that's a wrap! 🎉

What a day it was yesterday. The marquee was busy with exhibits, the field was buzzing with stalls and music, the sun was shining and the Pimms was flowing!🍹🍻

💐 Annual Show - Show day information 📢

Tomorrow is the big day!

Here's all the information you need about getting to the show and making the most of your day:

📝 Saturday 15th August, 12-5pm, Disley Amalgamated Sports Club

🎟️ Adults £5, Members free, children u12 free. Card and cash accepted - cash preferred! You can become a DLHS Member at the show for £10, effectively having annual membership and it's benefits for £5.

🌼 Staging of exhibits: Tonight 4-8pm and tomorrow morning 7-8am. Collect pink slips when you arrive, a volunteer will show you how to fill them out. If you are staging on Saturday morning, please do not leave your car in the top carpark park all day.

🚗 Car parking is free, however please use the free shuttle service if you can. Please do not park on Jackson's Edge Road near the exit to the Sports Club - it restricts visibility.
♿ Please avoid parking in the top carpark near the clubhouse if you are not a blue badge holder - follow the signs past the football pitch.

🚌 Free shuttle bus runs 12-5 from the bus stop by the Rams Head in Disley, to High Lane library car park, to the Showfield. 🐕‍🦺 👶 Dogs and prams are allowed on the shuttle bus (subject to room) 🏳️ There is clearer signage at each of the bus stops this year.

🐕‍🦺 The pet show starts at 2pm at the arena at the far end of the field. Registration closes at 1.45pm at the Information Point.

🥪🍺 There are 3 food outlets, 2 cake stalls, 2 bars, a coffee van and ice cream van to keep you fuelled and hydrated!

🎙️ The list of talks and more info about the show will be in the leaflet you recieve at the entrance gate.

💐 Annual Show - Volunteering🏆

Did you know that Disley Show is run entirely by volunteers?

Every year a dedicated team are busy behind the scenes putting on this great local event.

This year is no different and the Showfield is coming on well ready for Saturday 💪

But we're always on the lookout for more help - could you spare some time on Saturday assisting with the show or Sunday helping to clear up all the equipment?

💐 Annual Show - Last day to enter!🏆

Today is the last day to enter the competitions!

Paper entry deadline is 3pm at Disley Village Bakery, Jupita Travel, Danny's Deli or High Lane Garage, and 8pm at the Showground at Disley Amalgamated Sports Club.
Entries must be in a sealed envelope with the correct change.

Online entries close at 8pm.

Exhibit staging is on Friday 4-8pm and Saturday 7-8am. See a volunteer in the marquee and badminton hall who will issue your pink slips. Don't forget paper plates or anything else for presenting on.

💐 Annual Show - Entertainment 🏆

We're excited to host the excellent Basin Street Jazz & Blues at the show again on Saturday.

With the weather looking good and the sun 🌞 shining, leave the car at home and enjoy a drink whilst listening to cool jazz from one of the best bands in the area. A free shuttle bus runs from the Rams Head bus stop and High Lane library.

Basin Street Jazz & Blues have been making music together for a decade and have become a regular feature of the Disley Show - we are looking forward to welcoming the band back, and hope you are too! 🥁🎤

We're also welcoming back Disley Community Choir who will perform a set that we're all looking forward to.

From the humble beginnings of Agricultural Shows in n the 1840s to the event it is today, the Show is firmly embedded in the local community as a traditional Horticultural Show but also a great family day out - come and get involved!

💐 Annual Show - one week to enter🏆

Only one week to enter competitions for the annual show!
Paper entries close Wednesday 3pm, 12th August and online entries close at 8pm. You can also drop your paper entry off at the show ground until 8pm.
