We hold talks, events and stalls covering a wide range of environmental topics throughout the year and take action to encourage a reduced carbon foot print. Did you know that for most Festivals, the largest carbon impact comes from audience travel?

This is why we were really impressed to hear that for The Festival of Discovery this weekend, organisers DOCA Devizes have collaborated with Our Wiltshire to offer visitors a free ride on the local Connecting Wiltshire bus service

The code for 2 free rides on the Wiltshire Connect bus is GO2026.

Co-benefits to getting the bus, other than reducing emissions include:
- Not worrying about parking
- Not worrying about road closures
- Reading your book / playing a game on your phone / enjoying the view on the way instead of having to pay attention to the road
- Less congestion and better air quality in town due to fewer cars
- Having a cheeky pint or 3 at the Festival bar

Essentially, it's a no brainer, if you happen to live on one of these bus routes 💚

We're starting to gather donations for our Spooky Swap this weekend! 🎃

If you're in need of some new-to-you Halloween items, or have any outgrown costumes to pass on, we'd love to see you.

Come and find us in The Brittox this Saturday (17th October) 11am-3pm as part of The Festival of Discovery, curated by DOCA Devizes

If you have some Halloween items to donate, but would like to drop them off in advance - please drop us a DM and we will sort something out - thanks.

FREE Clothes Swap Event in the barn on Sunday 11th October 1-5pm.

Bring along your unwanted women's, men's or children's clothes and take what you like.

No money or tokens - just a good old rummage. And a carvery in the pub when you get hungry!

Last weekend at our Thrive Sustainability Day at St Andrews Church Devizes, we were joined by lovely local artist Hannah Cantellow

Hannah hosted a wonderful workshop, called Seeds of Hope, allowing visitors to collaborate on this beautiful artwork together.

Using a variety of scrap materials, people shared their ideas and hopes for a future where humans can thrive together with the rest of nature, and no longer see ourselves as somehow separate from it.

We’re delighted with the fruits of this labour, what do you think? What seed of hope would you plant?

Huge thanks to Hannah for facilitating this workshop for us, we’d love to do it again someday 💚

Kitchen items in need of a new home!

We have several boxes of stock leftover from our Kitchen Item Swap Shop this weekend... are any charity shops in need of these items? Or anyone running a jumble sale etc.?

There are (I think) 6-8 boxes. Mostly mugs and glassware, a few cookery books, pots and pans, and a (PAT tested) breadmaker.

We need this to go in one lot, ideally. As volunteers we don't really have the capacity to arrange multiple collections / drop-offs. Sadly we can't take requests for individual items.

Collection would be from St Andrew's Church, by arrangement. If you are a charity shop, we should be able to deliver to you.
