The Launch of our New Venture

Wiltshire Wildlife Trust launches new business venture, ‘Wild Landscapes’

Last week, Wiltshire Wildlife Trust launched an exciting new business venture bringing the beauty of their nature reserves into even more of our green spaces. ‘Wild Landscapes’ offers a range of design and landscaping services, which aim to benefit both wildlife and people. Happy to work with any given space, including school grounds, community gardens, private gardens or business sites, any area can be designed or improved. A few of their services include: the creation of wildflower meadows, wildlife ponds and insect houses, habitat management and wildlife-friendly garden design.

The duo behind the project are Nick Self and Chelsie Phillips, both experienced conservationists who have worked at Wiltshire Wildlife Trust delivering a range of projects for a number of years. With backgrounds in both habitat management, horticulture and design, the new venture will put to use a variety of skills. A unique aspect of the project is the offering of project engagement workshops, where people can choose to get involved with the delivery of their project. Chelsie and Nick are experienced in working with people with a range of mental health issues and see the benefit of people spending more time in nature, encouraging people to feel more connected with the space and therefore feel a sense of pride in the creation.
