We give much to charity and carry out many charitable tasks both in our local community and many international projects.

The Boxing Day Dip
With deep regret, Deal Rotary Ice Breakers will not be running the Boxing Day Dip again this year. Our risk assessments have taken account of the time and the height of the exceptionally high tide which coupled with the steep shingle bank are a major cause for safety concerns.
As a responsible organisation we must take this into account and added to that, it is an ongoing concern that during October the SSRS app ( Surfers against Sewage) has shown a Southern Water sewage outflow has been activated on a number of occasions resulting in a sewage alert.
The safety of the dippers is our prime concern.

Rotary Conference report 2026
Great and uplifting conference this weekend and Deal was named the top club in all three Rotary Foundation awards largely I believe due to Mike Dallen a fantastic achievement. although he has yet to admit it! We were entertained and inspired by the presentations from two of the four middle-aged Yorkshire Mum’s that rowed 3000 miles in 67 days, Emma Brown England Ladies 50 footballer caps and Deaflympics medallist, Cheryl Baker Eurovision winner and Colin Alderson Chef to Queen Elizabeth II to name but a few of many fantastic “turns”

DEAL ROTARY CLUB met with 400 Rotarians from across the South East at Eastbourne over the weekend for their annual conference. It was an uplifting event with many inspirational speakers giving experiences and ideas of how we can help people in need.
On the final morning we were delighted to be awarded trophies for the top contributions to Foundation, rotaries official charity. Pictures of the trophies and club members are attached.
Yet again Deal Rotary are living up to our motto of having fun getting things done.!

The Bingo evening on 1st. October at the Deal 1919 Angling Club has been cancelled.
We will do it in the new year when there is every chance of a full house 🏠 ✨️.

Thanks to the caring people of Deal , our High Street collection for the Nepal disaster on the rainy Saturday morning raised £713.44. Further donations from Rotarians and Friends have taken the total to £1250.
This has been sent to Nepal where the Rotary Club of Dhulikhel is providing immediate humanitarian assistance to families and communities devastated by the floods.
