We are delighted to share some wonderful news with you. Lucy, who is a consultant paediatrician at Kings is being supported by TEDF as part of her PhD studies looking at vaccine uptake and the link between antenatal and childhood vaccination. These studies will support learning who is at risk of vaccine preventable diseases and how we can support vaccination to protect children and families. This week Lucy has won an award for ‘Best Thesis Presentation’ and is absolutely buzzing about it (as are we!) Huge congratulations Lucy, we are proud to support clinicians like you ❤️💖🙏✨

As the World Cup begins, our fourth season of Fantasy Football comes to an end. 🏆 Another year of non stop fun. From last day drama to record breaking highs (and spectacular lows), this season had everything.

Huge congratulations to ‘In the Mudryk’ who slipped to second going into the final week then smashed a 71‑point finish to take the crown. With 2452 points and a top‑1k global rank, that’s elite FPL territory. A well earned £100 and a place in Evie Dove history alongside ‘Studley Constable’, ‘Crystal Pellis’ and ‘Netflix & Chilwell.’

Props as well to ‘Stone Cross FC’ and ‘Warthog Dukes’ for securing 2nd and 3rd, £50 and £30 in the bag. ‘Stone Cross’ even survived the highest benching of all time in our league (41 points!) and still made the podium. Resilience at its finest.

And at the other end… the legend that is ‘Redmeniv’ delivered a truly unforgettable campaign: 361 points, finishing 12,897,674th in the world. With 253 teams in our league, we really did cover the full spectrum.
This was FPL at its chaotic best. See you in August for round 5 team 💪 a new season but with the same glorious madness

Today, on World Brain Tumour Day, we remember our beautiful Evie Dove. A life so vibrant taken far too soon. A kindness that has endured long passed her loss. We stand alongside every family whose life has been touched by a brain tumour. We are part of club nobody asks to be in. And we feel your struggle. A brain tumour diagnosis changes everything in an instant. It brings so much uncertainty and challenges that no child or family should ever have to face. Yet it also reveals incredible strength and kindness. We realise who our people are and my goodness do we see the good side of humanity in some of our amazing clinicians.

Evie’s legacy continues to inspire us every day. Through the work of her foundation, we are committed to raising the standard of paediatric care by funding excellent clinicians to advance their training, and helping to create a stronger future.

Today, we ask you to join us in raising awareness, remembering Evie and sending love to everyone else affected. With love to all.

If you ever wondered what sort of a difference your fundraising is making, check out some highlights from a recent second year application from one of our Heroes Hamza entering another year of his allergy training. We are so proud to support people like this, and he is a credit to paediatrics and to us as part of our ever growing community at TEDF 🙏💪

When you guys support a us, you want to know where the money goes and what impact it creates long term.

As we approach our 4th anniversary, we’ve now sponsored more than 270 clinicians helping shape the future of paediatrics and here are just five examples of the impact your fundraising has made.

After caring for Evie as a healthcare assistant, Cuba is now a fully qualified doctor, combining the compassion her family remembers with the clinical skills to diagnose, treat and change outcomes for children and families. The world is a better place for having him as a doctor in it!

Pheobe became Kingston’s first accredited paediatric spirometry practitioner, helping grow a service from zero to eight clinics a week and contributing to a 63% reduction in Emergency Department attendances before specialist review.

Zoe developed a remote controlled MRI scanner toy that helps children understand scans through play, reducing the need for sedation or general anaesthetic and making the experience far less frightening for young patients.

While completing a PG Cert in Medical Education, Maithili created Paeds Prep, an exam revision app for paediatricians, and now donates part of its profits back to the Foundation to help fund future Heroes.

Jacques is undertaking a PhD at the University of Cambridge investigating treatment resistance in childhood cancers, with research that could help shape future therapies and improve long term recovery for children.

These are just five, five of hundreds of Heroes already making a remarkable difference to paediatrics! Your fundraising isn’t just helping fund training, it’s shaping the future of children’s healthcare 💪
