Congratulations to our great friend and team mate Jim Rankine who hosted his annual Sports Dinner at Drumpellier Golf Club last Friday night in aid of Macmillan Cancer Support Scotland and Isla’s Army – Fighting For Change. It was a fantastic night with over 130 guests, the largest turnout so far.

An incredible sum of £8,500 was raised on the night thanks to the generosity of the guests and those who donated prizes and auction items. Thanks also to Carat Catering Ltd for a fantastic meal and all the staff at Drumpellier Golf Club for their help and support.

Entertainment for the evening was provided by Des McKeown, Tom Boyd and Tam Cowan. Thank you for all the laughter and entertaining stories over the course of the evening.

A final thank you to Mark Sneddon who came along and spoke with such passion and emotion about his daughter Isla and her heartbreaking journey with Cancer and her passing at just 17 years of age. A stark reminder of how cruel this disease can be and how many lives it touches.

THANK YOU…..

On behalf of everyone connected with Team McKeown, we would like to thank those who contributed to our Sporting Lunch in favour of Macmillan Cancer Support on Friday at The Glasgow Westerwood Hotel, Spa & Golf Resort in Cumbernauld.

Our Guests of Honour, Alex McLeish OBE and Gordon Strachan OBE, were in superb form and had the audience captivated with stories from their time involved in the Beautiful Game.

A sum of £21,000 was raised on the day, and a huge thanks to our Headline Sponsor, Allied Vehicles Group, for their support once again, and to Gerry Facenna - in particularly - for also adding in an extra fundraising activity via his Glasgow Tigers Speedway.

Thanks also to Loch Lomond Whisky, Lusona Consultancy, POS Group, Impact Signs and Cowan Print for their significant contribution.

It also goes without saying that the support of our many loyal friends and businesses that continually help with our events is never underestimated or taken for granted.
