📣 VOLUNTEERS NEEDED! 📣

We’re looking for 2–3 volunteers to join our Community Café team! ☕️

Our café runs each Friday, from 10am–2pm,
and we’d love to welcome some new faces to the team to work 1 or 2 Fridays out of the month.

💪 IMPORTANT: We are specifically looking for physically strong and able volunteers who are comfortable moving and setting up tables and chairs. Some of the tables can be heavy, so this is an essential part of the role.

Other tasks include:

☕ Making tea and coffee
🧹 Clearing up
🍽️ Washing dishes
📋 Helping with the set-up and running of the cafe

We have a partnership with Recycled bikes Scotland starting next Friday 4th at our Cumbernauld hub. Pop along and learn some new skills and in turn help the local community.

Our Defibrillator was deployed today — BUT the 999 call handler did NOT provide the entry code to open the cabinet!

The code SHOULD ALWAYS be given by the 999 call handler in an emergency.

(The code is ONLY available in-store during opening hours if the 999 call handler has failed to provide this )!

A huge thank you to North Lanarkshire Council for awarding our community hub with Campsies funding to continue our weekly community lunch cafe!!

This will make a huge difference and will enable us to keep serving up hot food, drinks and good company at our cafe every Friday!

If you want to come along to our Community Cafe, it is open 12pm - 2pm every Friday at Cumbernauld Free Church, 140 Kilbowie Road.

Almost £100,000 of funding is set to support community and voluntary organisations across Cumbernauld and the wider area, with 19 organisations recommended for awards through this year’s Campsies Grant Award Programme.

Come along to our Community Hub this Saturday to grab an amazing deal at our Pantry!!

Not only can you do a shopping in our community shop choosing from a selection of fresh, frozen & tinned foods for only £3, you can also take advantage of our weekly deals!

This week we have our amazing £5 Pizza Night in deal!! Included in this deal is a family-sized M&S cheese pizza, a garlic bread, soup and 4 individual häagen-dazs ice creams!! What a bargain!!

Come along this Saturday 10.30am - 12.30pm to Cumbernauld and Carbrain Community Hub to grab a good deal, and have a hot drink & a blether while you wait ☕️

The entire reson Cumbernauld Cycles exists..

We want to keep cycling affordable and accessible for all, be that from offering affordable repairs or our great value pre-loved bikes.

If you have a unused bike taking up valuable space at home, we offer a FREE collection service and you can know we will do our best to give it a second life and offered to you guys to make memories.

We are not a charity and are transparent with that. However, for us to continue to offer great value preloved bikes - it really helps us to reuse your old bikes.

Free collection service in Cumbernauld and the surrounds areas, we do ask for a photo to be sent of the bike / bikes as unfortunately some bikes are too far gone for us to save, however we always appreciate the messages.
