🌟 Celebrating Our AMAZING Volunteers This Volunteer Week 🌟

Behind every community project, every warm welcome, and every helping hand at Cumbernauld & Carbrain Community Hub, is a team of dedicated volunteers who choose to spend their free time making a difference.

From Tuesday through to Saturday, our volunteers are a constant presence in the Hub, supporting local people, assisting with our coffee mornings, running our wee community shop, serving delicious food at our community brunch cafe, helping behind the scenes, and creating a space where everyone feels welcome. Collectively, all of this work allows them to contribute an incredible 130+ hours every week to support our community.

As amazing as this is, what makes volunteering so special isn't just the time given - it's the care, enthusiasm, experience and sense of community that our volunteers bring with them. Their efforts help turn ideas into action and challenges into opportunities.

Every conversation, every task completed, and every hour shared helps strengthen the community we are proud to serve. The impact of their contribution reaches far beyond the Hub's doors.

As this Volunteer Week comes to an end, we want to recognise and celebrate every member of our volunteer team. Thank you for your commitment, your generosity, and for choosing to invest your time in making Cumbernauld and Carbrain a stronger, more connected community.

You are an essential part of everything we do, and we are incredibly grateful for each and every one of you. We love you Dream Team 💙

Here we go 🙌

One more sleep till the girls tackle this tomorrow to raise money for the hub.

Videos are pending 😂

Good luck Caroline, Anita, Nolah, Audrey & Lisa

So far we’ve got a brave (questionable) team signed up for Tough Mudder 2026: volunteers Audrey, Nolah, K, plus staff Caroline and Lisa.

Let’s be honest… between us, we couldn’t finish a set of monkey bars if our lives depended on it.

Audrey doesn’t do dirt and is already in fear of the 40ft climbing frame.

Nolah has started weight training, go on girl, you’ll be carrying the rest of us (emotionally and physically).

Anita's main skill is running…out of money, so at least she has experience of running

Lisa and Caroline? Currently accepting thoughts, prayers, and possible excuses.

On the bright side we’re raising money for a great local charity (not biased in the slightest), building team spirit, and having a laugh. Also those first aid training courses will come handy, because… we might to use our skills.

Please sponsor us! As a bonus, donors get exclusive highlight footage of us tackling electric wires, mud miles, ice pits, and our own poor life choices.

Why are we doing this again? Currently Googling 'Tough Mudder refund policy'

📢 Important Notice – Temporary Closure 📢

Cumbernauld and Carbrain Community Hub will be closed from Sunday 1st June until Monday 9th June for our annual team get together and a full sort out and refresh of the hub. 🧹💙

This gives our staff and volunteers the opportunity to spend some time together as a team while also organising the hub and preparing for the months ahead.

✨ Please note: Our Friday Craft Group will still run as usual during this time.

We apologise for any inconvenience caused and thank everyone for your continued support and understanding. We look forward to welcoming everyone back when we reopen! 😊
