💙🌳 LOOK HOW FAR WE'VE COME… AND THIS IS JUST THE BEGINNING! 🌳💙
When Palacerigg Community Trust was established in 2020, we had one simple ambition: to bring life back to Palacerigg Country Park and make it a place the community could enjoy, access and be proud of.
What started as a vision has grown into something we are incredibly proud of.
We've faced challenges, taken risks, rolled up our sleeves and worked tirelessly to turn that vision into reality. And when we look back at everything we've achieved, we think it's time to celebrate just how far we've come!
💙 We've brought the Visitor Centre back to life. After sitting empty for several years, we've reopened the doors in 2025 and created a welcoming community space once again.
☕ We've brought back refreshments and hospitality. Our café gives visitors somewhere to stop, relax, warm up and enjoy a little treat during their visit.
🎉 We've created events and experiences for everyone. From Easter celebrations and Halloween adventures to Christmas with Santa, Big Bounce weekends, Pride at Palacerigg and our 70 years of Cumbernauld celebrations.
🌈 We've championed inclusion and accessibility. Creating opportunities for families of all backgrounds, abilities and circumstances to enjoy affordable activities, with free experiences and quieter sessions where possible.
🤝 We've built partnerships across our community. Working alongside local organisations, clubs, businesses, charities and community groups to create opportunities and bring people together.
🌳 We've helped put Palacerigg back on the map. Encouraging new visitors, welcoming familiar faces and reminding people what a special place we have right here on our doorstep.
❤️ We've supported our local community. From fundraising and donation appeals to creating opportunities for people to get involved.
🙌 We've created opportunities for volunteers. Giving local people the chance to contribute their time, skills and enthusiasm to something that makes a real difference.
And perhaps most importantly, we've created a place where memories are made. Where children can play, families can spend time together, friendships can grow and people can feel part of something.
None of this happens without people.
To every volunteer who has given up their time, every local business that has supported us, every organisation that has partnered with us, every person who has donated, fundraised, visited, shared a post or bought a coffee – THANK YOU.
Every single bit of support has helped us get to where we are today.
We know there is still so much to do. We have big ambitions, plenty of ideas and lots more plans for the future.
But sometimes it's important to stop, look back and recognise what can be achieved when a community comes together.
We started with a vision to bring life back to Palacerigg. We are building something that belongs to the community. 💙
