The Trust will be holding our AGM this saturday (12th September) at 16:30 in the Visitor Centre.

All current members of the Trust have been sent information but we also want to open the meeting to anyone else who may be interested in finding out more about the Trust or has any suggestions about things that we could do to enhance our offering going forward.

Only members are entitled to vote at the meeting, but we will have membership forms available at the meeting if anyone would like to join.

The agenda for the meeting is attached. Most of the business is administrative, but we are also proposing a special resolution to extend the definition of the community which defines who can become full members of the Trust. This is to reflect the fact that we are attracting visitors from further afield than just Cumbernauld residents.

TICKETS ARE NOW LIVE

Santa is returning to Palacerigg this Christmas.

We’ve created a relaxed, personal Santa experience where every family gets their own time with Santa — time to chat, laugh, take photographs and enjoy a little Christmas magic without feeling rushed.

Your visit includes:

🎄A personal 10-minute visit with Santa
🎅A chance to check the famous Nice List
🎄A little North Pole magic
🎅A special Christmas gift
🎄Festive photo opportunities
🎅A calm, friendly experience designed for families

Visits are deliberately limited each day so Santa can give every family the time and attention they deserve.

Tickets are now live.

Book your visit at:

https://www.palacerigg.scot/

Christmas memories aren’t made standing in a queue. They’re made in the moments you remember afterwards.

As North Lanarkshire schools go back tomorrow, our brilliant volunteers will be taking a bit of a breather to rest and concentrate on their own family and work responsibilities.

This means that we will be returning to weekend only opening, but for 3 day weekends, Friday, Saturday and Sunday.

We will also be opening on alternate Thursdays to support the Health Walks organised by a local health centre for some of their patients. The next one of these walks is this Thursday (13th).

We will be getting a supply of sandwiches and hot rolls for each weekend to go with our range of hot and cold drinks plus snacks and ice creams. We are looking at options to provide soup and other hot options as the weather cools down into Autumn.

He would just like to thank everyone who has visited us over the summer holiday period, and indeed at any time during our first 15 months of operation. We look forward to welcoming you again in the weeks and months to come.

Due to a water supply failure to the Visitor Centre, the cafe will not be opening today. This includes the toilets which can't function without the water supply.

Scottish Water are investigating the issue which affects a larger area towards Falkirk so we will monitor their updates and hopefully it will be possible to open up as usual tomorrow.

Thanks to the guys from Men Matter Scotland, up bright and early this morning to cut the grass around the Visitor Centre. Great to see these guys getting obvious satisfaction out of a simple act of kindness.

Win-win for them and the Trust. Creating a better environment for our visitors.
