Something slightly different regarding our latest 100 Club draw….October’s draw took place at The London Inn during the over-60’s lunch on 21st October. Supporter Annie Robinson did the draw, supervised by MBPFA trustee and Secretary Debbie Ticehurst. Thank you to both of you. Annie drew out the winning number 35.
The winner wishes to remain anonymous, and has asked us to donate the £100 cash prize to the GoFundMe appeal of our good friend Tony Scoins. This has been done. Stating the Obvious Part 1: Sadly we have had to spend money from the Play Area budget on a sign asking people to take their rubbish home. If you or your child have brought food or drink to the park, it should be possible for you to take the packaging home again. If you have purchased drinks or snacks at the Club bar, please take your empties back to the bar staff who will be happy to recycle them for you.
Stating the Obvious Part 2: Please make sure your children aren't pulling plants out of the ground and throwing them around. Volunteers have been trying to tidy up this small corner of the play area. Cuttings of plants were taken at home, and grown on, so that the play area budget wasn't touched. Pic 2 was taken in March following planting, Pic 3 in September, Pic 4 shows a few of the plants that have been found lying around. Assuming that you wouldn't be happy if your kids did this in your own garden, please ask them not to do it in a public space.
We know it's only a very small majority who spoil things, and we'd like to say thanks to all the respectful users of the play area and playing field, we know many of you already pick up litter that others have left.

September's 100 Club draw took place this morning, by kind permission of Morchard Bishop WI at their coffee morning at the Memorial Hall. Sue Moody, secretary of MBWI, very helpfully agreed to do the draw, along with Wendy Vere who has recently joined us as a trustee. Sue drew out ball number 1, and the lucky winner is Jo Savage. Congratulations Jo! Jo was also in attendance at the coffee morning and was presented with her winnings by Wendy. Thank you to everyone that is playing along with us! Next time it could be YOU....

We bring you slightly delayed news of our August 100 Club winner....on 17th August we held a social evening to thank all the volunteers and donors that helped us stage this years Vintage Rally & Family Fun Day. Our supporter Clare Radburn from Church Street Stores kindly agreed to undertake the 100 Club draw. Here is Clare with one of our new trustees, Sally Hurst, supervising the draw. Clare drew ball number 96, which belongs to Pauline and John Chater. Here they are receiving £100 winnings from MBPFA Chairman Bob Robinson. Congratulations to Pauline and John, and thank you to everyone that is playing the 100 Club, it's an essential source of revenue to keep your village facility going!

We have some of these individual tubs of Farmer Tom's lovely ice cream left over from the Vintage Rally & Fun Day. It's been kept frozen, it has a long 'Use By' date (2027 or 2028), there is absolutely nothing wrong with it, we just want to be able to empty the freezer and turn it off.
Flavours available: Clotted Cream Vanilla, Strawberry, Double Choc, and just a few individual tubs of Toffee Fudge, Rum & Raisin or Chocolate Coconut Milk.
Available at discounted prices:
Individual tubs £1.50 each
Tray of 8 tubs £11
Unopened box of 24 tubs (all same variety) = £30

Diana bought a draw ticket on the day of our Vintage Rally & Family Fun Day on Saturday 1st August, and she has won a prize. The problem is, the mobile phone number on the ticket isn't working.
