Appeal for volunteers:
summer bedding plants are starting to get planted in the tubs around the⁶ village. However we don't have a volunteer for the tub opposite Millie's Brae - where the bus stop and blue bench is. We dont want to plant it up unless we are sure someone is going to water and deadhead the flowers throughout summer. It just looks so sad and neglected and if nobody is willing you help with this one we will have to remove it.

Thank you to Oakwood Cooperage who donated half barrels to us to replace some of our worn tubs.
We now have these 2 used tubs going spare which still have a couple of years life left in them. Free to a good home if you want them - just get in touch... Update: they now have a new home!

Good news - the traffic lights have gone from Victoria Street/Spey Road and the work is finished! Hurray! 🎉

(Yes we know it’s been closed for a while and we also live here and have had to put up with it … so please refrain from moaning or using swear words on this post or we’ll remove commenting, like we had to do on the post on Sunday about the bridge repairs. Thank you).

Work to replace the expansion joint on the Craigellachie Bridge will commence this Wednesday, 27th May.

The work will take place throughout the night with a convoy system in place to minimise disruption to traffic. The work is due to be complete by Tuesday 2nd June, after which the road will be fully open to traffic.

We will update you if anything changes with this timeline. Thank you.

🏓Support the MUGA in Rothes!

There is an online whisky auction taking place during the upcoming Spirit of Speyside Whisky Festival. Money raised will support the Rothes Sports Development Group for their Multi-Use Games Area (MUGA). Unfortunately, we were unsuccessful with our bid but we’d still love to support our neighbours in Rothes (and we’ll be able to use it too!).

Please share the website with your friends and family. Many thanks.
