Keith & Dufftown Railway Association The KDRA is a Heritage Railway run entirely by volunteers. Scottish Registered Charity No SC046348

The Keith & Dufftown Railway Association began operating again in 2000, running from Dufftown to Drummuir, and to Keith the following year. It is staffed entirely by volunteers whose aim is to keep the line open for the benefit of the public.

Hello Folks, a reminder that it is not too late to book tickets for our upcoming Fish & Chips Special. This will depart from Dufftown Station on Saturday the 5th September at 18:00 prompt for our journey to Drummuir. We aim to be back at Dufftown for approximately 21:00. Only a few tickets remaining! This may well be our last Fish & Chips Special for the foreseeable future due to rising operating costs, so don't miss this one. Please state your preferred supper choice when booking. Our Fish & Chips Special will run on Saturday the 5th September 2026. Departing from Dufftown Station at 18:00 promt, we will be travelling at a leisurely pace to the forested surroundings at Drummuir platform where we will enjoy freshly-cooked suppers. Arrival back at Dufftown Station at approximately 21:00. We will have a bar on board.
This Special is our only Fish & Chips train of the year, so don't miss out!
We still have tickets for sale which must be booked online through our website www.keith-dufftown-railway.co.uk / events & specials/ fish & chip specials/Sat 5 Sep 2026/Fish & Chips Special/ select seats. Don't forget to choose your supper from a selection of 4 options.

We are very sorry that we had to curtail our regular service for part of today and sincerely apologise to our customers for any disappointments caused. The issue has now been resolved and we expect Saturday the 8th of August's 15:30 and 16:20 services to run as scheduled.

Driving our passengers today was Malcolm, one of our three latest volunteers to successfully graduate through our comprehensive driver training programme. Well done to Malcolm and good luck to our other volunteers embarking on our guard, 2nd Man, driver and shunting training programmes.
