Parkinson's Beats We are Parkinson’s Beats, an exercise drumming group for people living with neurological conditions. Also online on Tuesday at 11.00 am and Thursday at 2.00 pm

We meet weekly on Mondays at 11.00 am at the Moray Sports Centre in Elgin. Welcome to Parkinson's Beats. We formed in 2022 with help from Parkinson's UK Scotland activity grant. More recently we have been awarded a grant from the National Lottery Community Fund. Our aim, drum and have fun! Exercise Drumming is fully inclusive: it can be done seated or standing, using one arm or two, or your whole body if you are able. The movements are as strong or gentle as the individual’s or group's ability dictates. It is suitable for all age groups and all abilities. There are no standards to achieve, no right or wrong way to drum, just enjoy.

Calling all drum teachers in Fife.

One of our Parkinson's Beats members, who lives in Fife, is interested in learning how to play a traditional drum set. Are you, or do you know, a music teacher with a drumming speciality, who would be able to take on a new pupil?

TO ALL MEMBERS - do you want us to reinstate the Monday morning live class at 11.00 am ? The bandwidth issue is apparently corrected, I will test it out on Monday but please let me know if there is any interest in a regular Monday livestream. Thanks.
