Cottingham Women's Institute

We meet on the second Tuesday of the month (except August) at 10am in the Cottingham Methodist Church Hall. Come along & join us. A warm welcome to all!

The WI is all about inspiring women. Cottingham WI offers women the opportunity to make new friends, learn and try new crafts, listen to interesting speakers and join in with national campaigns. It offers the opportunity to join and be involved in a way that suits you. Visitors are always welcome and can come along to a couple of meeting completely free of charge to find out if they like it!

At yesterday's Ruby Anniversary celebration we were all given a lovely little handmade pouch filled with wild flower seeds. Each pouch had a tag saying "In celebration of the 40th Anniversary of Cottingham Womens Institute....Seed Bombs sow Feb to June" What a great idea!

Here’s our 40th Anniversary article printed in this month’s Cottingham Times. The plate was made and donated to us by a member (Mrs Rhonda Lamb) back in December 1989. This item and lots of other Cottingham WI memorabilia are all safely stored at the Treasure House archives in Beverley.
