Our Yorkshire and Humber LGBTQ+ educators have worked incredibly hard, and we are here to stand in solidarity, to protest, to match, and to educate! Stride for Pride is coming to Cottingham! 🏳️‍🌈💛

Cottingham Fitmums & Friends are hosting a very special run and walk on Wednesday 29th July - and we want YOU there!

Whether you run or walk this one is for everyone. Members and non-members are all welcome, so bring your friends, your family, and most importantly… your finest Pride outfit! 🌈

We're encouraging everyone to dress up and come ready to celebrate. Expect colour, energy, good vibes and an absolutely brilliant atmosphere.

**Why Pride Month Still Matters Every Year**

The backlash Pride Month receives every year is a clear reminder of why Pride still matters.

Pride isn’t only about flags, parades, or parties it’s about visibility, safety, and the right for LGBTQ+ people to exist openly without fear or judgment.

If equality were fully realized, Pride wouldn’t continue to provoke anger from those who feel uncomfortable seeing q***r people celebrated.

The pushback itself only reinforces how necessary celebration, advocacy, and visibility remain in the ongoing fight for LGBTQ+ rights and dignity.
