Consett Christmas Tree Festival

Christmas Tree Festival for the whole community

21/10/2026

Thank you to all the schools and children’s groups entering this year’s festival. We are now able to book group visits in on Thursday 26th & Friday 27th November. This is part of our mission to be open to all. We have ramps to access the building, toilets and lots of seating. We can tailor the visit to your group and have a volunteer to show you around. Places are limited so please book in early. Our grand opening to the public will be 6pm on Thursday 26th November. It’s getting closer 🎄🎄🎄🎄🎄

The Consett Christmas Tree Festival is so lucky to be supported by the local Consett and surrounding Community. Over the 4 days we have over 2500 visitors of all ages. Each year we want to make sure we reach more of the Community. If you work in a care home or work alongside a community group or even an individual family member, who would find coming to a normal crowded day at the festival too busy, noisy or a struggle with their mobility then please do contact us to see if we can arrange a private visit. We have ramps at the entrance and a toilet in the building adjoining the church which is wheelchair friendly. We can give a guided tour and also offer festive refreshments. We really do want to offer the chance to come to as many people as possible. Please message if you need further information. Times available November Thursday 26th
10am -3pm
November Friday 27th
11:30 -3pm

We are delighted to have been working alongside St Ives Church Leadgate's Christmas Tree Celebration. The team at Leadgate have been working hard to bring something special to Leadgate and the Community. It’s the week after Consett Christmas Tree Festival 2026 so you can enjoy two wonderful events.

Something very magical is coming to Leadgate!

This year our very own Christmas Tree Celebration is happening in our community at St Ives Church, on the first weekend of December
With lots of Christmas trees from all over the community to music, mince pies, crafts, raffles, carol singing, Santa and lots more surprises, all ending in a beautiful Christingle service in the church
Applications to join in and make a tree open in October
Come and join the magic this Christmas in your community
5th and 6th December 2026

Thank you again for all the applications and support. Update NO floor standing space left for trees, still space left for table top trees which can be fairly high as long as they are stable and not too heavy. Send us a message if you are unsure.

Wow our very own Michael, a volunteer from The Consett Christmas Tree Festival is running for another excellent cause. If you are able please support him. Well done 🙏

Thank you to everyone who has supported Michael so far in his London Marathon 2026 campaign.

Your donations and spreading of the message will help open up the countryside for children who may not otherwise have the chance to experience it.

Michael’s training is continuing each day, with regular runs as he builds strength and stamina for marathon day.

👉 As he works towards his £2,000 fundraising goal for The Country Trust, please consider supporting Michael and sharing with your friends, family, or colleagues: https://www.countrytrust.org.uk/london_marathon_michael

With great pleasure we were able to donate £1800 to Consett Food4U foodbank from The Consett Christmas Tree Festival. It will be used to help local families, especially during these difficult times. We have also given the same amount to Christ Church Consett. Thank you so much to everyone who donated to us, not only does it mean we have a start up fund for next year, but also that we can help others.
