💚 Your life. Your words. Your legacy.

Every life is made up of stories. The big moments, the little memories, the people and places that have mattered, and all those things we sometimes think we'll get around to sharing one day.

We’re delighted to be working with Anna to offer people supported by Great Oaks Hospice the opportunity to have their life story professionally filmed, creating something very special to share with family and friends.

There’s no script and no right or wrong way to tell your story. It’s simply a relaxed conversation, at your own pace, about the memories, experiences and moments you would like to capture.

After the wonderful response to the first story, Anna is keen to keep the project growing and give more people the opportunity to create their own lasting gift. 💚

🐾 Meet Rosie! 💚

Rosie, our wonderful Pets As Therapy dog, is a very welcome weekly visitor to our Wellbeing Centre.

There’s something rather special about having a four-legged friend pop in to say hello, and Rosie is always happy to spend a little time with everyone she meets. 🐶

A huge thank you to Rosie and all the Pets As Therapy dogs (and their lovely hoomans!) who give their time to bring a little extra companionship to places like Great Oaks. 💚🐾

💚 IT'S NOT TO LATE TO TAKE PART 💚
Four towns, four walks and one lovely reason to come together—supporting Great Oaks Hospice and the care it provides in our community.
On Sunday 18th October at 10.30am, join us for The Great Oaks Walk. Bring the family, round up your friends or invite someone you’ve been meaning to catch up with.
A Sunday stroll, a proper chat and time together can mean so much—and your steps will help support local hospice care.
Choose your walk, with each route starting and finishing at Cinderford RFC, Great Oaks Hospice in Coleford, Lydney Town AFC (three loops of route) or Newent Lake. Take a look through the four posters to find your route. 🌿
You might be walking in memory of someone special, alongside someone special, or simply because you want to make a difference.
Whatever brings you along, we’d love you to be part of it. Well-behaved dogs are welcome too, on a lead! 🐾

But at Great Oaks Hospice, we're here to support people through diagnosis, treatment and beyond, helping them navigate the challenges they may face and continue living life to the full.
A breast cancer diagnosis can affect so much more than physical health. It can impact emotional wellbeing, confidence, relationships, daily routines and the ability to do the things that matter most.
Through our wellbeing services, therapeutic support, exercise programmes and opportunities to connect with others, we're here to help people rebuild confidence, stay active, improve wellbeing and find the support they need.
Whether you're newly diagnosed, undergoing treatment, adjusting to life after treatment, or supporting someone you love, you don't have to face it alone.
This Breast Cancer Awareness Month, we're helping to raise awareness that hospice care is about more than end-of-life care. It's about supporting people to live as well as possible, for as long as possible, and ensuring they have access to the care, guidance and encouragement they need at every stage of their journey.
