Cockermouth Scout Group Proud recipients of The King's Award for Voluntary Service (KAVS) 2025. Updates and more from our thriving Scout Group in the Georgian town of Cockermouth.

Squirrels, Beavers, Cubs, Scouts and Explorers. 190 Young People and 40 adult team members Our thriving Scout Group has over 150 members aged 4 to 18. We have a Squirrel Drey, Beaver Colony, a Cub Pack, two Scout Troops and host an Explorer Unit. Squirrels meet on Friday evening

Group. So the Scouting year is over, finished with our big Kandersteg International Scout Centre trip. What a year, so many activities, events, achievements, friendships and more. To everyone involved - leaders, helpers, trustees, parents, families, supporters and of course our amazing members, thank you.
Looking ahead, next year has loads to offer including the launch of our new Tuesday Beaver Colony, allowing us to offer Scouting to more young people (and reduce the waiting list a little). Cheers all. Time to recharge...

Scouts and Explorers. Day 5 at Kandersteg International Scout Centre, today a big trip to Zermatt,including a train ride to Gornergrat, many gondolas and a 3800m viewing platform at the Glacier Paradise. And we finished with a walk from Furi to Zermatt. Awesome views, an ice palace and much more. Truly jaw dropping.
