We had such a lovely afternoon at Dalmuir Barclay Church Community Pantry on Friday 29 May.

Five local people joined us for a creative taster session, designing and making their own gem coasters. A simple idea, but a great way to spark conversations, share skills and enjoy something different together.

Big thank you to Liz Stewart and the DBC pantry team for making us feel so welcome and helping everything run smoothly on the day.

This was part of our Healthy Pathways programme, funded by The National Lottery Community Fund. It’s all about giving people a chance to try something new, build confidence, and feel a bit more connected.

If your organisation would like to host a free creative taster session, just drop a comment below or get in touch with Laureen at [email protected] or 07749 390108.

Outreach sessions like this help us connect with more people and make a real difference in local communities. Thanks again to everyone who took part, more to come.

With the warmer weather, it is easy to forget about energy use.

Whether it is heating, hot water, or everyday appliances, energy costs are still adding up in the background.

Our West Dunbartonshire Energy Advice Service is here to help. It is completely free and open to anyone locally who is struggling with bills, fuel debt, or just wants to understand how to use energy more efficiently at home.

We can help with:
• Understanding bills and reducing costs
• Speaking directly to energy suppliers where things have gone wrong
• Helping you find the best deal before the increased price cap comes in on 1st July
• Accessing support such as hardship funding
• Practical advice on using heating and appliances more efficiently

Support can be provided at home, over the phone, or through local drop-ins, whatever works best.

Our support doesn’t stop there. We can also connect households into wider support, including Starter Packs for those setting up a new home, and help with accessing the right benefits and services.

If you want a quick chat with one of our Energy Advisors:

Even if the heating is off just now, it is a good time to get ahead before the colder months return.

We’re delighted to see Threads of Time featured by The Clydesiders
This special project brought people across Clydebank together to share stories, creativity and local history through textiles, capturing what makes our community unique.
Although the exhibition has now closed, the journey continues as part of the Our Stories Heritage Festival. Join us on 12, 13, 19 and 20 May to create your own piece using the ‘Bankie Spirit’ fabric and add your voice to Clydebank’s story.
There may be a few spaces left in our workshops. E-mail [email protected] to sign up.
